Healing Currents

March 2010
Dear Patients and Friends,

Happy Spring! This season is always a wonderful time to  reflect and rejuvenate, working towards a happier, healthier you.

From the wellness perspective, "spring cleaning" means more than cleaning out closets and changing over to your warmer wardrobe. Rather, it presents an opportunity to "be in the present" while pursuing goals that will enhance your future. It's a chance to cleanse your body, mind and soul and gain new perspective. And, in light of April being Autism Awareness Month, the spring season brings with it HOPE.

At the Northport Wellness Center, we believe that HOPE is a driving force for many individuals and families to keep moving forward to accomplish their goals. We believe that HOPE alone can sometimes impact the healing process like no other treatment can.

This month, we invite you to evaluate your HOPES for yourself, your family and even the world. What path will you take to make your HOPES a reality?

As always, the Northport Wellness Center team of professionals are here to support your HOPES and assist you in achieving your goals. We are committed to presenting you with the utmost in quality care and will continue to enhance our capabilities with new services, products and perspectives.

Yours in Good Health,
Dr. Alan Sherr
Founder, Director, Northport Wellness Center

The above quote comes on the heels of the recently announced verdict whereby the vaccines court rejected the mercury-autism link in three test cases. How will this ruling affect the future of vaccine administration? Will science and politics ever see past the dollar signs long enough to report the truth?

FAMILY WELLNESS: Choosing A Preschool For Your Child

Many parents compare choosing a preschool to applying for college. While March may seem a bit early to start the process, many schools have already begun registration. But rest assured, it's not too late to find the ideal preschool for your child.

When choosing a preschool for your child, consider the following...
