Are you interested in a rewarding volunteer opportunity? Volunteers are needed in Orange County to assist in tax preparation for people with simple returns.
Are you computer literate, well organized, and enjoy interacting with others? If so, then you're just the person we're looking for!
AARP Tax-Aide offers free Volunteer Tax Training. All tax preparation volunteers must complete 36 hours of classroom training and subsequently pass the IRS certification test. Volunteer training will be January 4th-7th, 2011 and Jan. 10th & 11th in the Larkin Room at the Orange County Chamber of Commerce building in Montgomery from 10 AM-4 PM. Test review will be on January 25th from 9 AM-1 PM.
Last year, AARP Tax-Aide assisted over 2,000 Orange County residents with free tax preparation putting money back into the pockets of hard-working residents. The program offers FREE tax preparation at over 10 local sites from February 1st to April 15th.
AARP membership is NOT required.
