United Way Helps Residents
Save Energy and Money
With the heating season upon us, residents are looking for ways to reduce the cost of their heating and utility bills. Orange County United Way, supported though Orange County Government, is hosting free Energy Conservation Workshops to inform residents of easy steps they can take to help improve the energy efficiency of their homes and save money in the process. Attendees of these workshops can expect to learn tips on how to save money on heating and cooling their homes, reduce energy consumption used by major and small appliances, and water conservation. Additionally, information will be available about energy funding resources in your area. Attendees will also receive a free energy saving toolkit. Employers can arrange for similar workshops for their employees and/or clients. To arrange for a workshop at your workplace or for a list of workshops in your area, please call Energy Program Manager Pat Fayo at the Orange County United Way office at (845) 457-4774 ext. 3111. |
