What is a COUGH All About, REALLY?
This past month has been about TLC.... remembering to stop running around, stop leaving the home/office to just go do something, stop being in perpetual motion, just stop! I had a huge coughing extravaganza going on which took the wind right out of my sails! OK. I got it. Louise Hay, author of Heal Your Body, suggests that the possible mental cause for this respiratory ailments is: "Fear of taking in life fully." Her new thought pattern proposal: "I am safe. I love my life."
Well, I took on my life, took on my belief systems, took on my marriage, and all that I hold dear, and turned it upside down over the past two years. It's bound to happen that there's going to be repercussions in the health area! And yet, in "Eagle English", "cough" sounds a lot like "Qoph,"
the Hebrew letter that Mahalene Louis has translated in her TORO/TARO "hat" deck to be symbolized by a mask and asking the question: The signal to Talk/Walk. Can you wait for the path to be CLEAR before your next word/action?"
OK. Stop, look and listen before speaking my next word or taking my next action! Coughing or Qophing... same thing! When I cough, everything stops! I can't think, speak, breathe, or act. Through the Path of XPR, I am learning to look at things from all kinds of perspectives, including something as simple or as profound as "cough"... Thank you, Mahalene Louis, founder of the Path of XPR, for having guided me thus far to really Talk my Walk and not just be full of words of wisdom but no substance!

I am the law on which the movement of the stars and the growth of living cells are founded.

Artwork as Collage
The last part of my move from a 3 bedroom home to a 2 bedroom apartment within an older home has consisted of putting my artwork on the wall. My art has been in storage at a friends' home since March. My Realtor, Nancy Price of RE/Max Paramus, and my professional organizer, Gayle Gruenberg of Let's Get Organized had strongly suggest that we declutter our home in order to better sell it. Well, I have a lot of art! Lots of collages that I've made over the years, and many items that tell a story. I found myself going up the stairs with art from one era, transitioning from room to room and floor to floor with different time periods or specific areas of interest. I have a wall devoted to all things Native American. Another one devoted to gods and goddess of different descriptions.
One wall started with a photo montage of my older brother's life, prepared by my younger brother, Ken Visser. Clearly, I started hanging other photography in this area as well as artwork and photos from my daughter when she was younger. My most special wall is the one that is in the living room, above the TV. It is loaded with original artwork of my family and people who mean a lot to me. I love looking up at it and caressing each piece with my eyes. It strokes my heart simultaneously. Since divorcing my daughter's dad, I felt moved to help create a collage full of photos of her relatives, close and distant, including photos of her dad and ones with me, too. We used these photos as a border around a Japanese phonetics poster (yes, she would like to learn Japanese to help her better understand her favorite Manga authors)... Just because her dad and I are no longer an item, I still felt she deserved having his image here and there for her to enjoy. It's all been happening quietly, easily, and with love. I am totally enjoying our new space even more so as a result of being reunited with my yummy art!
