LIFE IS LIKE A BAG OF MUSTARD GREENS
Photo: 2010 04 Aibel Living Room | It's been two months since my last ... newsletter. And 3 months since my brother passed. Yes, I still have moments of deep grief and joy too. Taking my daughter and two friends out of school early to go see "Alice in Wonderland" on the first day it was out was definitely a "What would Bob do?" decision.
And yet, I continue to purge my external environment (staging our home to be sold). What I have noticed is that this deep cleansing process has had a huge impact on my internal environment. Or is it the other way around? I've known about the concept of "Create Space" as the first order of business for a long time. I've made valiant efforts here and there to do just that over the years.
Now, as I eat my mustard greens dish, sauteed with onions and garlic, I get it. A whole bag of mustard greens compressing into a tiny amount when the cooking is done. Analogy? Life is like a bag of mustard greens. When you cook it properly, with L.O.V.E., you end up with a mighty tasty, potent, and rich dish, full of essential vitamins. As I let go of my "stories," my "stuff," my complaints, and my tales of woe, through the Path of XPR, I am being "reduced" to my essence... "What you see is what you get." I get it!
As I was purging the MANY books I have from COUNTLESS quests for "je ne sais quoi" (French for "I don't know what") I found I could quickly let them go. I don't need them anymore for reference, or for the hopes that they hold the secrets to something that was always just beyond me.

The path I found myself on through coaching with Mahalene Louis of Empowering Now LLC has created a richness and a texture in my/our world, inside and out, that I am NOT holding my breath, keeping my fingers crossed, holding out for something or someone to free me, praise me, discover me, or relieve me of some imaginary loneliness or self-induced pain. WOW! Not only is my home looking spectacular in this process... I feel blessed, rich, complete, excited, and playful as ever! In the words of the Beatles: "I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together !!" We ARE ONE. What a thrill!
Are you still searching? call me and we'll set up a time to engage in a startling simple assessment by phone or in person....Let's see if you are RAW... "Ready, Able, Willing" to let go of your stuff too! Blessings, V

Quotation of the Month
Sometimes a woman has to go into the dark and the slime
So she can come out and be ONE in the sunshine. - Verena (1993)

Animal of the MonthPhoto: Frog captured by Delphine | FROG
Keyword: Transformation through Water and SoundBecause of its connection
to water, it is also linked to lunar energies (the moon moves the tides of
waters upon the planet) and those goddesses associated with the moon. If frog has hopped into
your life, you may need to get in touch with the water element. It may reflect
that there are new rains coming or that you need to call some new rains forth.
Maybe old waters are becoming dirty and stagnant. Frog can teach you how to clean them up.The frog
is a totem of metamorphosis. It is a symbol of coming into one's own creative
power. It changes from an egg, to a polliwog, to a frog. Even after it becomes
a frog, it lives close to and spends much time in the water. It always has
contact with the creative force out of which it came.
This
connection to water should also serve as a reminder to those with this totem.
Are you becoming too mundane? Are you becoming mired in the mud of your
day-to-day life? Are you needing to dive into some fresh creative water? Are
those around you? Are you feeling waterlogged, becoming bogged down, or
drowning in emotions?
