Welcome to the 33rd Issue of the BetterHealthGuy.com Newsletter!
One of the biggest things I've done since the last newsletter is to get serious about exercise. I've been doing Pilates weekly for just over two months with a private instructor and I have to say that it is superb! While I realize that it may not be right for everyone, it has allowed me to recommit myself to regular exercise which is critical in our recovery. If walking is all that feels right to you, then start walking. Do what you can without pushing yourself too hard, but do something.
I'm currently managing any remaining microbial issues with a blend of essential oils, Rizol Gamma, Researched Nutritionals Transfer Factors, and BioPure homeopathic Lyme nosode.
For detoxification, I'm using Beyond Balance Tox-Ease GL, Natura Health Products Cell Guardian, and BioPure Lipo-C with R-Lipoic Acid.
I've nearly resolved the remaining back issues I mentioned last time through the use of prolotherapy, physical therapy with a device called the ATM2, NCR, and a good osteopath. Structure is something I'll always need to pay attention to as I have struggled with it since before my back injury, but at this point, I feel confident that I am on a good path.
I'm looking into the CCSVI (Chronic CerebroSpinal Venous Insufficiency) issue first identified by Dr. Zamboni in the world of Multiple Sclerosis. While I am not yet ready to commit to having the procedure done, I am going to do the imaging work in June to see how much of an issue this may be as it seems to be an issue for many people with chronic Lyme disease according to the observations of Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt. You can learn more about CCSVI here.
A medical intuitive recently shared The Ultimate Zapper with me. While I have used numerous similar products and Rife therapies in the past, I decided to give this device a try and see how it works. I'm just starting to work with it and will have more to share in the future.

Panama Stem Cell Therapy
In August 2010, I went to Panama City, Panama and had 5 stem cell procedures done over the course of a week. I'm currently considering whether or not to go back for a second round, possibly early next year.
If you are interested in learning more, visit my blog post on stem cell therapy here.

Integrative Therapy Approaches to Treating Tick-Borne Disease
In March 2011, I attended a great event in Northern California that was hosted by BioResource. The main speakers at the event were Wayne Anderson ND, Joe Burrascano MD, Ann Corson MD, Steven Harris MD, Richard Horowitz MD, and Byron White (herbalist).
It was a superb collection of healers all under one roof. For more information, my conference notes are available here. Don't miss "Ballad of the Deer Tick" by Dr. Richard Horowitz. |
Dr. Stephen Fry on FL1953
Dr. Stephen Fry recently spoke on a radio interview on the immune-suppressing, biofilm-forming protozoan organism FL1953.
The radio interview and a few key points from notes taken as I listened to the interview can be found here.

Nasal Microbes
Many of us are familiar with MARCoNS, the biotoxin forming nasal staph that Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker discusses in his books.
I had done the swab for this over a year ago and had a positive test result. I did an RX nasal spray along with oral RX options to address the infection. The subsequent swab was negative. However, a year later, it was once again positive.
Thus, my view on the issue of nasal microbes is starting to change to something along the lines of flossing our teeth. I'm not sure we can entirely and permanently eradicate every nasal microbe that may be another burden on our bodies.
Thus, I'm alternating different antimicrobial nasal sprays and may pulse these over time.
Currently, I'm using a mix of BioPure Phospholipid Exchange, Xylitol, Young Living Thieves Oil, Young Living Myrrh Oil, Quinton Hypertonic Marine Plasma and filtered water which I mix at home. Another variation that I use is to replace the Young Living Oils with Rizol Gamma. I just recently purchased the Nasal Wash from SuperGoodStuff.com and will have that as another option. Lastly, I'm starting to use a Neti Pot with different ingredients as well. |
THRiiiVE.com February 2011 Summit

In February 2011, I had the opportunity to attend a THRiiiVE.com Summit in Southern California. It was a super event with participants such as Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, Dr. Lee Cowden, Clint Ober, and hosted by the founder of THRiiiVE.com, Dana Gorman.
I was asked to present a brief summary of some of the unique things I had been using to improve my own health. I called my presentation "The Roads Less Traveled". You can take a look at it here.
Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt's superb presentation from the summit called "Medicine 2011: New Symptoms, New Causes, New Treatments" can be found here.
THRiiiVE.com is a phenomenal information source that I highly recommend. Take a look! |
Mila - The Miracle Seed
Mila is a new product that I first learned about from Dana Walsh from Under Our Skin. Dana is using Mila as the foundation of her ongoing focus on her health and has been doing very well with it.
Next, I started hearing about the product from practitioners that I had worked with personally.
Mila is called "The Miracle Seed". It contains 8x more Omega-3s than salmon, 6x more calcium than milk, 15x more magnesium than broccoli, 2x the fiber of bran flakes, more antioxidants than blueberries and it tastes great mixed in unsweetened chocolate almond milk, coconut water, or your own unique recipes.
Mila is a uniquely prepared form of Chia seed that seems to energetically test much better than other forms of Chia. I've been using it almost daily for about two months now and plan to continue as I think that diet is an important part of recovery, and Mila is a high-quality food.
For those interested in Mila, you can either purchase it as a preferred customer or sign up as a distributor. To learn more about Mila, visit my recent blog post here. To order, visit the Mila site here.
If you've tried or try Mila, I'd love to hear your experiences with it.

Making A Liposomal Compound
Many people are familiar with the "Klinghardt Cocktail" which I have discussed previously.
In making the cocktail, a recent modification to the original approach is to use an ultrasonic device to make the compound liposomal.
More information on this process can be found here. |

Another Toxin Bites the Dust
While I have avoided aspartame like the plague for years, I never fully understood the impact of other artificial sweeteners and how they may negatively impact our lives.
I only recently came to understand that "Acesulfame Potassium" is a potentially dangerous artificial sweetener that some believe may lead to cancer. As of two months ago at the urging of a good friend in the Lyme community, I finally stopped using all products containing any artificial sweeteners. Better safe than sorry. For more information on the dangers of artificial sweeteners, visit MPWHI and Sweet Poison.

Defeat Cancer
Connie Strasheim is back with her latest book. This time, she interviews the world's leading doctors in the treatment of cancer and puts it all together for us in one book. I had the opportunity to read the book before it was published and I believe it represents a superb resource for anyone dealing with cancer. To learn more about the book, click here. |
Beyond Lyme
One of my primary mentors throughout this journey has been Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt MD, PhD.
His most recent conference "A Deep Look Beyond Lyme" was a huge success. DVDs of this event will be available soon. To learn more about upcoming events offered by the Klinghardt Academy, take a look here.
