Overall, I'm feeling about 90% of where I'd like to get to most days. While I still have some things to work on, I definitely feel as though I am continuing to move in a good direction. My biggest remaining issues are visual issues such as debris/floaters, lower back pain from an injury just over a year ago, and some muscle discomfort.
I've always had structural issues and working on a computer for most of the day each day doesn't help. In late 2009, I damaged a ligament in my lower back. It was very painful at first and made walking difficult, but that was resolved quickly with chiropractic intervention. Unfortunately, the ongoing lower back pain continued.
I've since done about six rounds of prolotherapy which helped about 60-70% but did not entirely resolve the problem thus far.
The current thought is that the remaining discomfort is muscular, and I am now doing physical therapy twice a week with the ATM2 as well as a rolfing series to hopefully retrain the muscles.
I just finished my fourth session of NCR (video of the process can be found here) which is reported by some to be a powerful tool in dealing with structural and many other issues. We'll see over the next couple of months if I can resolve the remaining lower back discomfort. I'm optimistic!

F2IGH2T For Your Life
I recently had the opportunity to collaborate on an article with Dr. Garry F. Gordon, MD, DO, MD(H). Dr. Gordon is the creator of the F2IGH2T Protocol
. The protocol encompasses the many different things that those of us with chronic illnesses must consider in order to regain and retain optimal health.
The article was published in the March edition of the Public Health Alert
. The full article is available here
My Latest Treatment Options
My current treatment approach can be found here. I continue to manage my remaining issues with herbs, essential oils, and natural therapies.
I recently started consulting with a naturopath that suggested a couple of new options that I have incorporated into my program.
These include making my own essential oil capsules of Oregano, Clove, and Thyme and a product called Guardian of Eden which consists of oral H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) and cellular nutrition.
I've found both to be useful options, but caution people not to consider either without collaboration with your healthcare practitioner.
Get Grounded! The Benefits of Earthing
Earthing is a term that essentially means reconnecting with the earth's energy. In doing so, the body can utilize the earth's electrons to reduce inflammation, improve sleep, and improve our body's ability to heal.
This can be done by simply walking barefoot in the park or through the use of a number of earthing products such as earthing pads, earthing bands, and earthing sleep systems.
I've used earthing technology for a couple of years now. I recently upgraded from the earthing bed pad to the sheet system and also started using an earthing pad beneath my desk while working on the computer. Among its many potential benefits, earthing is believed to negate the impact of EMFs while one is grounded.
For more information on earthing, take a look at these informative resources:

My foundational protocol at present is based on the work of naturopath Susan McCamish. I continue to incorporate her herbal blends such as Bar-1, Immune Restore, and ImmunoVira into my treatment regime.
I recently wrote about the McCamish Protocol in a blog post you can find here.
XMRV is a retrovirus that has recently been implicated in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and other chronic illnesses. It is suspected that a high percentage of people with chronic Lyme disease may also carry XMRV.
Research on XMRV and its impact on health is continuing at a very rapid pace, and hopefully, XMRV research will benefit many of us by coming up with effective treatments that will further assist our recoveries.
I recently created a page
and a blog entry
that discuss the topic of XMRV.
I've often been asked for my thoughts on EMFs and their impact on our health. I am definitely of the opinion that EMFs are another form of stress or toxicity that our body has to manage. The more we can reduce EMF exposure, the better.
I just wrote a blog entry about EMFs with links to various resources on the topic.
I'd appreciate any comments you may have on what you have found to be beneficial in reducing EMF exposure.
