The hotel and new conference center at Smithfield Station were designated a Virginia Green property by the State of Virginia this past May.  Energy efficient appliances, environmental best practices compliance and changes such as adding recycle bins to all hotel rooms and common areas made for an easy approval by the state.  At Smithfield Station, we have always felt that the serene beauty of the surrounding rivers and marshes are a part of our charm and we are dedicated to doing our part to protect that environment.
