Poker Runs May 17 and July 12
RPBA
Hot Boat Magazine just voted the Richmond Power Boat Association Jammin' on the James Poker Run as one of the top ten in the United States and Smithfield Station is a key stop on their tour!  Fiberglass, Horsepower and Silicone make this an event you can't miss!  On May 17 we have approximately 40 boats coming between noon and three for the Ocean Marine Poker Run and for the 18th year in a row (I think) we are welcoming 100+ boats from RPBA from 11:30 - 1:00 ish.  Make sure you stop by and check out these awesome machines!

Queens of the CreekOlden Days June 28 and 29
An old-fashioned Family Fun Festival. Come join the fun and frolic as we gather on Main Street inhistoric downtown Smithfield for two days of summer entertainment. Theweekend will include a Pagan River Raft Race, Ghost Tour, Children'sarea with rides, Craft vendors, and Carriage rides through town all weekend, Entertainment all day long, Parade on Saturday, and a Grande Finale Concert to wrap up the weekend celebration. Many of our boaters understand the seriousness of the Raft Race.  It is a pre-qualifier for the sanctioned event in Chuckatuck and competition is fierce for the "king of the Creek" title, or as in last year's winner "Queen of the Creek."  Call the Visitor Center for more information 357-5182.

Ok, so you have that beautiful boat and the weekend free but don't want to spend $1,000 in fuel to go up the bay.  You know what, Smithfield Station is the perfect overnight trip from Virginia Beach, Richmond, Hampton, Norfolk and even Yorktown.  Located just seven miles from the highrise of the James River Bridge, we are cheap to get to!  Not to mention that once you are here there is plenty to do.  Whether you get an ice cream, walk downtown or play in our pool, there is a little something for everyone.  We are a little out of the ordinary, but not out of the way!
Stay Tuned as Smithfield Station is About to Become Virginia's First Green Restaurant, Hotel and Marina Complex!
