A flash flood destroys the main road at Buffalo Mountain Camp.

Pasqua reports on damage,
provides donation info 
A Sunday evening flood destroyed parts of Buffalo Mountain Camp less than one week after the last of the summer campers departed. The Rev. Randy Pasqua, executive director of Camp and Retreat Ministries, provides an update and information on how Holston members can respond to the Jonesborough-area tragedy.  
Disaster response

Assembling cleaning buckets 8-8-12               
Cleaning buckets, trained ERT workers requested
Jim Fetzer, Holston disaster response coordinator, is requesting trained Early Response Team workers to help clean up at least 80 flood-damaged homes in the Johnson City District. Church members are also asked to collect "Cleaning Buckets."      
New conference lay leader

New coordinator hired for
$1 million campaign 

The Holston Annual Conference voted to save 100,000 lives by raising $1 million to fight malaria ($10 per net). Meet LeRae Collins, who will lead Holston's Imagine No Malaria initiative through June 2013.
