Change? Not so much
General Conference axes guaranteed appointments,
concludes without restructure plan

Church restructuring received more attention from delegates than any other issue. But hours of work accomplished by the 988 elected representatives of the United Methodist Church were struck in the final hours of General Conference when delegates learned their final plan was unconstitutional.

Holston sent 14 delegates and six alternates to Tampa for the denomination's quadrennial meeting. Several other Holstonians attended as volunteers or visitors.
