In memory of my dearest "singing" Sam.
Sammy crossed the Rainbow Bridge December 29, 2007. This year has been the worst of times and the best of times for me, but not one day goes by without me missing you, my boy. I was blessed with 13 of the most wonderful years of my life. Sammy loved life and approached it full steam ahead, wide-eyed and filled with joy for each and every moment. Some of you remember him when he jumped up on the Reiki table and began teaching the level one class. He loved Reiki. This past year he accompanied Cleo to every course that I taught. He reminded me to keep the humor in everything.. Sometimes we are blessed to have a very special human or animal come into our lives. One that shares all of our joys and sorrows and is your heart and soul. That is who Sam was and continues to be for me. During the holidays last year he taught us to live in the moment. He was very serious about that message. He didn't want us to worry about what "might" be, but to instead totally focus on the moment and live in the joy, happiness and contentment. We are each blessed to have the animals in our lives to teach us and love us as only they can do, unconditionally.

Deborah Harrigan and I are honored to be hosting our Reiki teacher, Frans Stiene of the International House of Reiki, again this year for another Shinpiden level III Reiki training course. In addition to this class, Frans will be offering a one-day intensive advanced training for his Shinpiden students. If you live in the Washington, DC area please join us for one of the free talks that Frans will be giving on Friday March 27, 2009.
