ASPVA students are invited to perform at many public events including their most recent performance on the ACL Live Stage for the Music4Life Festival held in April.
Stop by the ACOUSTIC SANCTUARY to see our voice majors perform again this Thursday! These speech-level-singers train at least ten hours per week at ASPVA, and they look forward to opening for Dodge McKay, acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter, presented by Central Christian Church, the newly restored historic church located two blocks west of the Capitol at 1110 Guadalupe Street. Admission is free and audiences of all ages are welcome on May 19 at 6:30 pm. Free parking is also available on the west side of the building.
The Long Center for Performing Arts will play host to ASPVA's SPRING SHOW where gifted students will show off their talent in theater, voice, music, dance and visual art. Come enjoy the show and witness what goes on at ASPVA first-hand! Performance is at 7:00 pm on May 27. Tickets available at The Long Center Box Office--just click here!

ASPVA Students Want You to XtheTEXT! | |
ASPVA teamed up with KXAN's Shawn Rutherford to ban texting and driving. Ryan Metz, a student driver, pleaded with viewers to drive safely. To kick off the campaign, XtheTEXT thumb bands were distributed at McDonald's with the help of Bobby Bones from 96.7 KISS FM.

First Prom! | |
Students enrolled this inaugural year have established new traditions including our first annual prom. Guests enjoyed dining and dancing poolside at the beautiful hill country home of CB and Betsy Hudson, both acclaimed artists whose continuous support of ASPVA will go down in history as the most generous. Our students will conclude this year with a special awards ceremony, National Honor Society induction, and graduation with a special performance by International Trumpet Soloist, Nathaniel Mayfield. |
