Let's Talk Regional Marketing! You'll want to attend SSDTA's 23rd Annual  Membership Meeting on October 6th at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls. At 9am we will give our marketing update along with some highlights of our current marketing efforts and those yet to be implemented. Join in round-table discussions with other SSDTA friends. Then at 11am stick around for a workshop on Search Engine Optimization presented by our own Web/Media guy Rodger Wenzlaff. We will be giving away free ad space in the S.D. Vacation Guide, Southeast Regional Visitor Guide and Southeast Regional Map. And Rodger will have some SEO books to give away during the workshop. Please join us for coffee and cookies, good conversation and a some great marketing tips that won't hurt your budget. Invite a business friend that is not a member of SSDTA, if they join, you get a discount on your membership. Following the meeting you are invited to stay and visit out the zoo, so plan to attend the 23rd Annual SSDTA Annual Membership Meeting. Going into fall we are in a good position to see visitor numbers remain strong. The good news is, throughout the region we have reports of visitor counts and cash register receipts up over 2009. Email Marketing to Visitors
| We are sending a monthly newsletter to 5000 visitors who have opted-in to receive email from us. The newsletter includes vacation packages and features member businesses. Each newsletter features events and on-line vacation packages. If you want your business included in this email newsletter, consider creating a packaged vacation or weekend getaway. Each offering must include a lodging property with an attraction or event. Packages are listed free on our website and we choose from those packages what will be featured in the E-newsletter. The newsletter also includes a link to all of the packages. Submit your package here. We are giving visitors ideas for creating their own unique vacation. The email list continues to grow so we reach more visitors with each E-newsletter. Contact the SSDTA office to see how you can be part of this on-line marketing effort.
