State minimum wage increases to $7.75
Remember that Illinois' minimum wage increased to $7.75 per hour on July 1, 2008. It is scheduled to increase to $8.00 on 7/1/09 and to $8.25 on 7/1/10.
|New facade grants for non-TIF district companies- apply June 16 until July 31
The Department of Planning and Development is offering matching grants of up to $10,000 for building improvements. Companies in the tax increment financing district cannot apply because they are eligible for other funds (call ICNC to determine if you're eligible and for assistance applying). Applications are on the City Website.
ComEd rebates now available and easy to apply for - don't miss yours
ComEd's is issuing rebates to business customers. You can get money for energy efficiency improvements as simple as changing incandescent light bulbs to compact fluorescents. Once this year's money is gone, there's none left until next summer, so apply now. Download rebate applications directly here.
