Industrial Expo with Mayor Daley - June 26
ICNC and other industrial groups will hold an industrial exposition at Coyne American Institute for area business owners to learn about city-wide opportunities for land, buildings, and financial assistance. New facade grants for non-TIF district companies- apply June 16 until July 31 |

The Department of Planning and Development is offering matching grants of up to $10,000 for building improvements. Companies in the tax increment financing district cannot apply because they are eligible for other funds (call ICNC to determine if you're eligible and for assistance applying). Applications are on the City Website. |

SBIF applicants selected for grants |
|
More than 40 local businesses applied for funding under the latest round of Kinzie Corridor Small Business Improvement Fund grants, which will make $2 million available to local businesses. SomerCor, the grant administrator, and the City of Chicago conducted a lottery at ICNC on June 09 to determine which companies would be accepted into the program. Once the entire fund has been allocated, some companies will have to be put on a waiting list for when additional funds are available. ICNC thanks Alderman Burnett and the Department of Planning and Development for their continued financial support for capital improvements in the neighborhood. |

Alderman Walter Burnett reported that the Chicago Police are stepping up local enforcement of speed limits and have posted cars at various locations in and around the Kinzie Industrial Corridor. Please keep everyone's safety in mind and watch your speed. |

The Department of Planning and Development is accepting proposals for 98,000 square feet of land (subdivisible) on the south east corner of Lake and Campbell Streets (2500 W Lake). Asking price is around $15 per square foot. It's in the PMD, and bids are being accepted until August 22.
