There's nothing easy about the 30 or 60 Day Challenge.  30/60 hot and sweaty 90 minute classes in 30/60 days is tough (we don't call it a challenge for nothing!).  At the end of it though, you have to admit it was worth it!

Free First Friday for Firefighters, Police and Paramedics
As a service to our community, Bikram Yoga Tempe offers FREE yoga to all Phoenix Metropolitan area firefighters, police, and paramedics for the first Friday of ever month.  Please bring a valid ID and choose from the 6 am, 9 am, 12 pm, 2:30 pm, 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm classes.

Friday, August 4th is the next First Friday!

Firefighters, police and paramedics also receive 10% off our yoga packages.

Left something behind?  Ask the front desk to check the back.  Items not picked up are donated to Good Will at the end of each month.  For sanitary reasons, we cannot hold onto wet towels or underwear.

Sign up anytime from NOW though September 8th and attend 4 classes per week for 10 weeks!   A studio-wide challenge is a great motivator to kick start a new health regime or to just overall feel better!  Most people will end their challenge by the date of our Anniversary, November 17th.  We will host a big party that weekend at a venue where Jeremy and Ben's band, Acoustic Carpet, will play!  Venue to be announced.  We are currently seeking a local concert venue to host us.  Any ideas?

I came to Bikram Yoga Tempe because of a broken heart.  My handsome son, Nathan, died unexpectedly on April 10, 2011. He was 25 years old.  This past year has been the worst year of my life. I have been learning to live with this pain that will never go away. Nathan was always telling me to not be a chicken; he lived his life fully for the short time he was here.


A friend of mine gave me a gift certificate to Bikram Yoga Tempe and told me that it would really help me get through this rough time. I remember my first day in the studio and the first class that I attended. The class was tough but I got through it and I realized that I still had that strong will that has helped me prevail during times of stress in my life. My second week I met Karla and she told me how Bikram would help me with my grief. It was then that I knew that BYT was where I needed to be!


I teach tennis and Bikram has helped me become a better Teacher/Coach. I have learned how to be a better teacher by being a student in a subject that I knew nothing about. I have become a better coach by being in the moment when I am teaching and playing tennis.


The improvement in my fitness level and focus has been noticed by my students and peers and it makes me realize that I still have a purpose for my life through tennis.


On June 24, 2012 it was my one year birthday as a Bikram baby! I attended 175 classes in the year. I really did not have any goals or expectations for doing Bikram, I just kept coming because I received comfort in knowing that each class was the same 26 postures, and that for an hour and a half, I could just be present and focus on my breathing and really try to not fall down in some of the postures!


Bikram Yoga has helped me realize we have to be present to really live, and for me personally to take more chances and follow my heart.


Losing my Nathan has shown me that I can live and love without fear for the rest of my life until I see him again.

  • Moves all the blood from one side of the body to the other, then back again
  • Uses compression and extension, and then release--the Hoover Dam effect--systematically bringing fresh blood and oxygen to all the organs and glands
