For city leaders and elected officials in La Junta, Trinidad, and surrounding communities, the following is a quote from an Army planning document.  This is the future and "exciting opportunity" that pro-expansion forces have in mind:

"... this plan does not envision acquiring the towns scattered throughout this area although some of the smaller towns may become available over time if PCMS obtains large adjoining tracts for training.  The possibility of conducting training in and around the towns in the vein of the Special Forces "Robin Sage" exercise in Carolina is potentially an exciting opportunity that 7ID and Fort Carson will explore."
