Come and join us this weekend at Savoy-Lee Winery!  On Sunday meet Linda as she works on painting recycled wine bottles that have been turned into beautiful platters.

In Linda's own words:
"I inherited my talent from Heinrich Curtius, my grandfather in Germany. He painted wine labels for the vineyards and was a water colorist as well as a graphic artist (before computer graphics) I have always loved to paint and studied it in school. I am a porcelain artist and china painter and this painting of the cheeseboards evolved from all I do I guess. I do many things with my hands....french hand sewing, quilting, porcelain claywork, glass slumping, interior decorating, murals, and dessert specialties just to name a
 few!"

This is great opportunity to purchase a beautiful gift for Christmas while supporting a local artisan.

Take a look at sampling of the beautiful holiday platters that Linda has created!

The Carriage House Inn, an award-winning bed & breakfast within walking distance of downtown. The charm, grace, and hospitality of the original Watts famil and their grand home has been retained by the current owners, Kathy and Michael Bedsworth.

The home is a treasure trove, rich with architectural detail including many of the original fireplaces (9), mantels, light fixtures, moldings, intricately carved woodwork, doors, bathtubs, and sinks. The four guest rooms in the circa 1878 Italianate mansion are oversized and well appointed to include fine linens, fluffy towels, comfy robes, and slippers. Colors throughout the house are representative of those used in the late 1800s. While staying here, you will find the atmosphere to be warm and inviting. Guests staying at The Carriage House Inn Bed and Breakfast can enjoy the mansion much as it was back in the 1800s, with some updates such as shower enclosures in the baths, central air and heat, and Wi-Fi.
