The December  holiday open house, music and first "ladies only" night were a great success - THANK YOU to those who participated!

We are looking forward to an exciting 2008. This month has been a time to recover from the holidays and prepare for the upcoming year.  We are planning a number of events which will include our first wedding at the winery.  Other events include Wine 101 courses, music, etc. 

Please continue to stop by and see the changes some small, some large depending upon your last visit.  Have a casual afternoon around the winery with some wine and cheese near the fireplace.

We look forward to seeing you!

Our winter hours are Monday - Saturday from 12 pm - 5 pm for the  months  of January through March. 

On slow days we sometimes sneak out a little early during the weekdays. So, call us if you think you are coming later in the day or would like to schedule a time for a tour.

Our January monthly Ladies Only night will be Thursday, January 24th from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. (weather permitting).

dress down, grab the crew or just bring yourself and come have some fun!
 
This relaxing night includes wine tasting and light hors d'oeuvres.

The Recipe Corner! 

White Wine Sauce and Italian Chicken over Pasta

A super easy, ultra tasty recipe that calls for white wine, a packet of Italian dressing mix, chicken and pasta.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4-6 chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup Savoy-Lee Johnson Mountain Picnic White wine
  • 2 10 oz. or one 14 oz. can(s) cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 finely chopped green onions
  • 1 package of dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 16 oz. pasta - linguine works very well
  • Sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese

PREPARATION:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in large pot and stir in package of Italian salad dressing mix. Next stir in Savoy-Lee White Wine, mushroom soup and cream cheese until well-blended. Continue to heat (without boiling) mixture for about 5 minutes, sauce should be creamy and all cream cheese should be melted in. Place chicken in single layer in baking dish and pour the above mixture over. Cook for 50-55 minutes. Cook pasta about 15 minutes before chicken is done. Drain pasta and serve chicken and sauce over the linguine. Top with sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese. Don't forget to save some of your Savoy-Lee wine to complement dinner!
