Bring Your Kids to a Free Day of Fun and Activities at Urban Kidz this Sunday

On Sunday, February 21 from 1 - 4 p.m. Valley residents are invited to the Tiara Tea Party at Urban Kidz in The Shops at Gainey Village. This exciting day boasts a meet-and-greet with Savannah Troupe, Miss Arizona 2009, a Children's Charity Fashion Show sponsored by Urban Kidz, a special appearance from "Barbie" and her car, live entertainment, activities and games, gift bags, prizes and the crowning of "Miss Tiara Tea Party."

While most of the activities are no charge, those who purchase a seat to watch the show ($6), or purchase any princess crafts, will also be delighted to know that a portion of the proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona. This organization grants the wishes of children with life threatening conditions to give hope and joy to their life experience.

The Valley's Own Chef Beau, of elements at Sanctuary, is nominated for the Prestigous James Beard Award as Best Chef in the Southwest

Every year the James Beard nominees are chosen from 21,000 entries by a panel of 400 judges. The preliminary ballots contain 20 entries in each category which will later be trimmed down to five finalists and announced March 20th. Then in New York on on May 3rd the winners are announced in an awards ceremony.

TTI Performance Systems Gives Back to the Community and Environment

OnSaturday, February 20 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.the international leader in workplace assessments, TTI Performance Systems (TTI), will be donating their time and energy to a noteworthy cause, Habitat for Humanity.
