Valley Youth Theatre Nets over $200K at "Most VYTal Event of the Season"
Valley Youth Theatre's "Most VYTal
Event of the Season," held at the Herberger
Theater Center
on June 16 raised over $200,000, topping last year's net by over $30,000. Now in its eighth year, "VYTal" is Valley
Youth Theatre's largest single annual fundraiser. Funds raised at the event will support the
2007-2008 Valley Youth Theatre season of professional-quality family
entertainment, which provides exceptional performing arts experiences for
thousands of Valley children and features hundreds of local young talent.

Steve Nash Makes Surprise Visit to Foundation for Blind Children Mixer
Phoenix Suns Superstar, Steve Nash, recently made a surprise
visit on June 20 to an informal cocktail hour at Silverleaf Country Club. John Langbein, President of Ticket Exchange,
Inc. and past Foundation for Blind Children board member, brought together the
small group to learn about the foundation and meet some of the people
involved. Two impromptu donations during
the cocktail hour raised an impressive $25,000 for the Phoenix-based
non-profit. Although the NBA star was
there for a business meeting and not scheduled to attend, he
personally stopped in to say hello, greeted the young fans and posed

Cystic Fibrosis "AZ's Finest" Each year the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF), Arizona Chaper, honors 20 single men and women across the Valley as AZ's FINEST. The AZ's FINEST Campaign began with an Honoree Kick-Off Reception in March that formally introduced the 2007 AZ's FINEST Honorees, as well as their respective nominators and former Honorees. AZ's FINEST culminates with an Honorree Recognition dinner hosted by ABC 15 Anchor Katie Raml on JULY 21, 2007, at the Hotel Valley Ho. As part of their recognition, each Honoree agrees to raise a minimum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000) on behalf of CFF. Foundation for Blind Children's "Night for Sight"
"Night for Sight," a fundraising event to benefit the
Foundation for Blind Children, is a one-of-a-kind dining experience held
Saturday, November 3 at 6:30 p.m. The
festivity, which includes fine dining, auctions, raffles and music will return
to Mastro's City Hall Steakhouse (formerly Drinkwater's City Hall). Ken Kendrick, owner of the Arizona
Diamondbacks and long time friend of the Foundation received the first annual
Visionary Award in 2006. This year's
honoree, John Langbein, President of Ticket Exchange, will be honored for his
spirited support of children and adults who are blind and visually
impaired. Tara Hitchcock will emcee the
always sold out event. An exciting part
of the evening is the giveaway of a new Cadillac Escalade and $20,000 (it is
not necessary to be present to win). For

The Revenant Haunted Attraction
Prepare
yourself for the Valley's most interactive haunted attraction ever! THE
REVENANT HAUNTED ATTRACTION. Featuring 2 all new heart-pounding,
terrifying, completely interactive, ultimate haunted experiences running from September 29 - November 3, 2007!
The idea
for the Revenant Haunted Attraction was conceived from Baltimore attraction that is half a theme park attraction and half fun house. The Revenant will combine puzzle solving and role
play with all the elements of a haunted attraction. Entering the
attraction will be more like entering a movie set than a traditional
haunt. Theming will be taken to a higher level and patrons will be given
a semblance of control over their environment. Groups will be involved in
decision making that would seem to produce different outcomes, creating the
ultimate interactive haunted attraction.

Russ Ortiz's "Celebrity Rock-n-Roll Bash"
Russ
Ortiz and other celebrity friends will be bowling to raise money for the Ortiz
Family Foundation. On December 8, 2007
at the Brunswick Via Linda Lanes in Scottsdale,
you can bowl with celebrities and friends from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the
tournament. Autographs are allowed in a
one hour session prior to the tournament.
The Ortiz Family Foundation was established to support local and
national foundations/charities that strive to serve, protect and care for those
that are less fortunate. For more

Bertrand Berry Celebrity Weekend
Join Bertrand Berry and other celebrities in March 2008 for
a shot gun golf tournament at the JW Marriott followed by a sit down dinner,
dancing and auction benefiting the Bertrand Berry Foundation. The
following day is football camp at the Cardinals training facility. Bertrand
Berry started the foundation in order to help relieve
the suffering of all children by offering a better life experience. At age 12,
his wife Shellie met and lost many friends to cancer, while she herself battled
a rare form of leukemia. Today, Shellie
is a survivor and together they are motivated and dedicated to the fight for a
cure to blood cancers. For more
