Greetings!

Using Lodgical, you are now able to separate units from one another.  For instance, you can separate your cottages from the regular hotel, or your condo units.  They can show up on different charts and even be easily separate or together on reports.
Set-Up

In order to select which units should be on the B Chart, you will need to go to Utilities, Configuration, General Information, and finally the Units tab.

Unit Tab

A/B Chart Selection If you are doing this for the first time, there will be all A's in your A/B Chart Selection.  Simply by placing a "B" next to certain units, you will be moving them from the "A" Chart to the "B" Chart.

Don't worry about making a mistake.  If you notice that there is a unit on the "B" Chart that shouldn't be, simply go back in and place an "A" next to that unit.

Chart Buttons
You will need to exit Lodgical and open it back up to view the changes.  When Lodgical opens up, you will see another chart icon, like the ones pictured to the right.  Below are both the "A" and "B" charts.  As you can see, there are no differences in functionality, just the data that is displayed.

Reports

Lodgical is able to separate out the units from both charts in your reports as well.  Go into any report.  Click on the Include All Units - Click to Select Units button.  You will see an window similar to the one below.

Select Specific Units for a Report

As you can see, you can choose in include both charts, or separate them.  In this way, you can track your financial data as a whole or as the separate pieces.
You can also place units that are no longer at your property on the B Chart.  Not only will you retain your past data, but those units will not show on the primary chart.  Normally, removing units will delete all prior data held in this unit.  However, by moving the unit, you can maintain the statistics of that particular unit.
Sincerely,
