Set Up |
In order to set up your rates in the rate table, you will have to go to Utilities, Configuration, Rates, and finally Rate Table. If you have not set up your rate table yet, you will see a window like the one to the right. Typically, you will choose Rates based on Unit Types. This will allow you to have rates for each type. If you choose the second option, you will set up rates for every unit number.
Note: Throughout the rest of this email, we will be assuming Unit Types was selected. The procedure is the same for unit numbers.
Now that you have chosen how to set up your rates, you can choose which unit type to set up rates for.
If you would like to just view your rates for one or all types, you can select that option before selecting the type. |
Unit Type Setup |
Here you can type in different descriptions for your room types. These descriptions have certain key codes associated to them to be able to make them appear on any reports.
To add new rates to this unit type, click the Add New button. Click the Copy Rates button to copy rates from a previously set up table. This feature is a time saver, even if there are minimal changes you need to make after copying. If changes are needed to be made after the initial setup, you can Edit or Remove them by clicking the corresponding button. |
Define Rates |
By clicking Add or Edit, the screen at right appears. It is in this screen where you can define:
- Description
- Beginning & Ending Dates
- Additional Person Charge
- Discounts
- Base Occupancy
- Nightly or Weekday/Weekend Rates
- Weekly Rate OR Weekly Discount
- Percentage reduction on a specific night stayed
When you are all finished defining your rate(s), be sure you click the Save button. |
Apply to Reservation |
You can see that using the rate table is easy to set up; it's even easier to apply to reservations. Left is a picture of the new room rates button that appears in LodgicalSolution.exe. Click this button to set your rate for this reservation. You will see a window similar to the one below. There have been a few changes to this window with the new version.
Now that your rate table is set up, simply single clicking on "Rate Table" will use your predefined rates. By clicking "OK", you will apply this rate. |
