Parenting Place Friends:

We apologize for sending a second September newsletter, but within hours of sending out the first one we received important updates about programs and events Parenting Place is hosting. We try to limit our mailings to one per month, but felt you would want to know about all of the things Parenting Place is doing for families in September.

Sincerely,
Will Kropp, Executive Director, 303-449-0177x2

New LGBT Parenting Group!

Out Boulder (formerly Boulder Pride) and Parenting Place are partnering to provide a new support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender parents with children ages 0-12, as well as parents-to-be and those contemplating parenthood. The group will provide a safe atmosphere to share information regarding the universal struggles of parenting infants and children. We will also explore issues unique to LGBT parents.

We will meet at the Boulder Pride Community Center, (2132 14th St., Boulder), on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 10:00-11:30am. The first group meets Monday, September 27th. The group will be co-facilitated by Cathy Busha, Co-Director of Out Boulder, and Louise Haimowitz, Director of Clinical Services at Parenting Place. This drop-in group is free - no rsvp required. While daycare is not provided, we welcome children to sit among the parent's and play, and encourage you to bring toys and snacks for them to enjoy.
