Better regulation in the south-east
Anthony Garnett is the licensing manager for Sevenoaks district council.

His presentation at these conferences will look at best working practice, as identified by the Better Regulation Office, which will save huge sums of money through shared services, and change the way licensing practitioners work in the future with national accounts, and regional responsibility.

He will be showing the results of three years practical work to get to this stage, of developing best practice in shared services, partnership working and execution.

Other speakers will cover

  • the European Union Services Directive

  • the Regulators' Compliance Code

  • the Local Better Regulation Office

  • providing joined-up licensing services

  • how Better Regulation helps licence- holders
