Call for Artists and Craftspeople of All Ages


Wrap Roll RevelRAM Museum Store is calling all artists and craftspeople to participate in the second annual (W)rap, Roll and Revel Gift Wrapping Competition. Artists of all ages are invited to enter the competition for a chance to win prizes galore in a variety of categories.

Participants are asked to wrap an empty box no larger than
8 x 8 x 8 inches. Box must be empty and cannot exceed
12 x 12 x 12 inches with decorations. Entries must be received by Tuesday,
November 30, 2010 at
11:00 am. For entry form, visit www.ramart.org or at either museum locations.

Then, stop by RAM to view the winning boxes, in addition to all of the other colorful entries starting Free First Friday, December 3 through Thursday, December 30. Visitors to RAM will also have a chance to vote on their favorite festively-decorated works of art.

Together, the two campuses of the Racine Art Museum, RAM in downtown Racine at 441 Main Street and the Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts at 2519 Northwestern Avenue, seek to elevate the stature of contemporary crafts to that of fine art by exhibiting significant works in craft media with painting, sculpture and photography, while providing outstanding educational art programming.

Docent led contemporary craft and architectural tours of the museums are available. Both campuses of the Racine Art Museum, are open to the public Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, and are closed Mondays, Federal holidays and Easter. RAM is open Sunday Noon - 5:00 pm, while Wustum is closed Sundays. An admission fee of $5 for adults, with reduced fees for students and seniors, applies at RAM. Admission to Wustum is free. Members are always admitted without charge to either campus.
