Don't Stay in a Pot Too Small
In my new home, I am trying to grow and take care of african violets and orchids in my (sunny -when there is sun) window sills. They love the warmth of the radiator and the light space and my loving hands as I take care of each petal and leaf. In the past, I was not careful with my flowering plants and they almost always died.
As I am cultivating my own spirit and authentic self, these little flowers symbolically represent me as I reach out toward the sun and my destiny. My little flowering friends are thriving - and so am I...
But one little violet plant is not as happy and blooming as all the others. It seems that the garden center, by accident, put two african violet plants in one pot. This poor little fellow is stunted and growing into the other plant and is in a pot too small. There are no flowers, no leaves reaching to the sun. It is stuck in this unfortunate dilemna of not being able to fully become the flowering beauty of nature that it is meant to be.
Are YOU existing in a pot too small?
Are you agonizing over your current situation and not able to become the beautiful child of God that you are meant to be?
If you are, you can change that... In fact, YOU are the only one who can change that...
Realize that God wants you to have a rich, abundant and happy life. It is God's good pleasure to give you the keys to the Kingdom (garden) on earth.
Ask God to help you break out of the pot - whatever it is, and become like my other little african violet friends and fulfill your potential to bloom like crazy.
Help Me to Bloom Prayer
Dear God:
When I am stuck in a pot too small - help me to see that there is more to life and that I am meant to have it...
When I am afraid to break out of this pot that no longer fits me - give me the courage to reach higher and wider for my goodness - for I deserve it...
When I doubt that I will ever find a better pot - help me to find You in the sunlight and rain and comfort me and lead me in the right directon toward my greatest good...
For if I have faith, I shall bloom and prosper all the days of my life. All good shall come to me for Your hands are upon me and upon my life. Amen
