Interconnectedness
One human race, one family with all living things, all co-existing on this beautiful planet Earth that offers us everything we need to live a harmonious life with all things.
There are celebrations all over the planet to celebrate our oneness. Some are doing Reiki for the planet at 9:09 am and 9:09 pm. Some are holding workshops about interconnectedness. Some are just going around doing good deeds for strangers.

Here is an Interconnectedness Contemplation to help you do something in your own way to participate in this global happening:
Just for today, release your anger.* Take the hand of someone who needs it. Give a smile, a hug or do a random act of kindness.
Just for today, do not worry.
Forget your own hard times and reach out to someone you don't even know. Visit an old age home or a animal shelter, plant a tree or walk mindfully in nature. It costs nothing...
Just for today, express gratitude for all your blessings. Be grateful for all the wonderful things you have in your life. Although all things might not be as you want them, if you can count 5 things or people you have in your life, then you are lucky indeed. Spend a few minutes today in joyful, praising gratitude. (You can sit in a chair at home to do this one.)
Just for today, earn your living honestly and with integrity. If you are reading this at work, then do a kindness to someone at work. Each person has his/her own battles to face. Do all your business dealing with others as if they were your brother or sister - for they are...
Just for today, show compassion for all things. Walk down a busy street today and talk to no one and notice everything. Hear every sound, see every color and BE TOTALLY conscious for a few moments that YOU are part of it all. You are connected and on the same path as all the people you see. Smile to yourself and carry on with your life, a bit more conscious and a bit more connected.

What's New?
September 9th, 2009 (090909) is the World Day of Interconnectedness. Many people around the world will gather at 9:00 am in each time zone to raise consciousness about our oneness on the planet and that now is the time for all people to find peaceful ways of coexisting . I am helping out with the Dutch steering committee. Check out the website and participate if you can!
