Today, April 22nd is Earth day. It is a day the whole world stops to remember how precious our planet is and raises our consciousness about what we can do to protect her.
I am writing a book called, 'The Namaste Way for Conscious Living ' with six principles of peace and connection.
Here is principle # 3:
Namaste with My Planet
I recognize and honor this planet Earth in which the whole Universe dwells.
You are my planet, you are my home, you are for my future generations.
I recognize my role as caretaker of you as a precious gift of perfect balance in land, sea and sky.
When I am in that place of peace and understanding in me, I can do no harm to you. I become your protector, your defender, your champion in all I do. When this happens, I become a part of you and you become a part of me and I recognize that there is only One of us.
Do something today to recognize and honor your planet:
Walk mindfully in nature and appreciate the beauty around you.
Set up recycling boxes in your home for paper, bottles, batteries and plastic
Find out where there is a recycling center in your area and visit it regularly with your sorted articles.
Stop using aluminum foil, throw away water bottles and other items that do not recycle easily.
Take a few garbage bags with your kids to clean up a park or grass area that has garbage in it.
Teach your children the significance of earth day and the important reasons to recycle.
