Pebbles, Stones & Boulders
When life gets to be too much for me and I cannot carry the heavy burdens anymore, I have a way to find comfort and peace that I would like to share with you.
I consider all these worries and fears to be different size rocks. Some are pebbles, some are good size stones and some are boulders based on how much they weigh on my mind and heart.
In order to feel better, I imagine in my mind's eye that I have a large, cloth,burlap sack and put all these stones in the sack. I tie it up and depending on how heavy the sack is, I carry it or drag it behind me. My restless mind is often so sorrowful that I can only drag it...
I visualize that I bring this burlap sack of all my thoughts, sadness, fears and concerns to the place in my mind where I think God is. I somehow manage to bring it to His table and fling it up onto the table with great effort. I then say to God,
"Here God, You take these heavy burdens from me for I cannot manage them on my own. You know what is best for me and have a plan for my life, even if I cannot see why things happen as they do. These worries and fears are bringing me down so I deliver them to You like a little child with a package too heavy. I release these stones to You to bring the outcome that is for my greatest good. I leave them on your table. I leave the outcome in Your hands."
I cheerfully have the idea that God listens to my prayers and will take care of all these concerns both big and small.
I then go about my business, actively trying to make things better, and trying to stay hopeful for better days.
When you are having a hard time in life, try my little 'stones in the sack' visualization and bring them to God's loving table. Fling them up there and let them go.
Believe that you are not walking the path alone and that God can handle all your pebbles, stones and boulders.

What's New?
My Reiki practice has transformed into " Reiki on the Road" for those living in The Netherlands. I take my healing practice to the homes of people who need it. It is in the comfort and privacy of their own homes or offices. I am focusing on The Hague and Wassenaar areas and surroundings. Euro 40.00 per session of 35 minutes. If you are having illnesses or aches and pains that won't go away, try Reiki!
Two books will be published this year that I have contributed to. How to Achieve Heaven on Earth includes my essay on homeless meals and racial harmony and Living Your Best Life Abroad where I have written the Personal Growth chapter . More details when they are published.

I have changed the name of the company back from Authentic Matters Ministries to Authentic Matters for clarity. Still my ministry, but with a bit more humility.
No meditation workshops scheduled for 2009. The focus will be on Reiki on the Road, professional speaking and writing.
