What we think and dwell on is very important to what actually comes to show up in our lives. Quality of thought brings about the same quality of life that comes to you.
According to the teachings of Abraham through Esther and Jerry Hicks:
What thoughts you think equal a particular level of vibration. Positive thoughts create a higher level of vibration and brings good things to you. Negative self talk, doubt and fear create a lower and slower level of vibration that brings things we don't want to occur.
I know... you have heard this many time in many ways, but consider this idea that is paraphrased from Abraham:
It takes 68 seconds of a thought/feeling "string" to set that same thing in motion to happen in your life. If you allow negative thoughts to run all around your mind unguarded, you will draw it to you. If you can maintain a positive thought pattern for 68 seconds or more, you will draw that experience to you.
Look at the difference between these two thought strings about having money in your life, for example:
"I do not have enough money. I never have enough money. I cannot afford this. I cannot spend any money on things I want. I do not have enough money. I don't like it that I don't have enough money. How will I ever get enough money? I never have enough."
If you let this run around your mind for 68 seconds or more - you will surely continue in this place of lack of abundance and you will draw more to you. Look at the difference with this string:
"I do have enough money for things I want to buy. Money is coming to me easily and frequently. I am drawing enough money to me to cover my bills and have some left over. I am not afraid of the future and know that I am safe and will have enough money for what I want in my life. I do have enough. I am careful with what I do, but believe that I have enough."
It is about keeping control of your thoughts and not staying in a pattern of lack. This applies to every area of your life.
Try this exercise a few times over the next few days. Look at your watch and time yourself to think about an issue in your life with positive affirmations for 68 seconds. Do it several times a day. You will feel better and will see that positive changes will occur.
