The idea for this passage came from a young Pastor from Texas named Joel Osteen. The exercise came from me.

A weekly uplifting message from Authentic Matters Ministries

Be Still and Listen

If you must make a big decision or a choice between two things, you often don't know which to choose.

You must still your consciousness and know that your inner guidance or your higher self knows which of these ways is the right and best way for your greatest good. Your wisdom within not only knows what is the best decision, but waits patiently within you to quietly tell you about it - if you make the time to listen.

1. Sit in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
2. Close your eyes and relax.
3. Ask the question that you need help on.
4. Be still and listen for the answer to come to you.

It can be a brief whisper, a thought or an image. You might not get any information at first. Still your mind and relax for your inner self wants to tell you something.
