We recently opened registration for our 10th Annual Lake Placid Triathlon Camp in June 2009. This camp offers the perfect long training weekend and preview of the Iron Distance race course. Please be sure to register soon by clicking HERE as this camp usually fills up.

We're also now starting to prepare for our annual Winter Tucson Training Camps in March. It's incredible what 7-days of steady aerobic training in the high desert can do for your pre-season fitness as you get ready for race season.  Choose from two programs - and if you need some special attention paid to your swim form and technique, stay an extra weekend for our Swim Clinics which include Dartfish Video analysis of your stroke.

In this email update, I've linked to one of my older 'Iron Life' lessons on 'Dilution of Focus'. Please take a moment to listen to this as a reminder to stay on track and focused on your most important goals.

This coming weekend, we're shooting a new BodyWorks MD DVD title - Vol. 4 - The Ankle. This new title will be available later this year. For all of your 'at home' physical therapy needs, check out our BodyWorks MD Sports Rehab series.

And along the lines of Sports Rehab and recovery, we've discovered a new product called 'RECOVER GEAR' created by an Ironman Triathlete.  Tired of sitting in an ice bath to aid recovery after a long run?? Check out these tights which enable you to ice down without discomfort and inconvenience. It's a very innovative concept and I recommend that you give them a try.

Now that the season is winding down, it's time to start thinking about your how you'll improve for 2009.  The post season gives you the opportunity to refocus your efforts on improving your weaknesses and further building on your strengths.  If you're getting ready for your first sprint tri or a 2009 Ironman, get some good coaching and guidance for the best results. Hill Training for Running Strength
