Dear Athlete,
Hello and thank you for receiving our email updates. I hope you are doing well and that you enjoyed your summer. I don't know about you - but summers seem to go by faster than ever these days. Football season is in full swing and before we know it, the holidays will be here with 2009 fast approaching!
Now that my family has relocated from Maryland to Tucson, we don't have the same concerns regarding the winter weather. Sunny days and comfortable temperatures are the norm here in the dead of winter and I am looking forward to escaping the cold grip of the season, although I will miss the change of seasons, the crisp cool air and that first snow fall of the year. I'm sure I'll get over it though when I'm riding outside in January in shorts!
When you get tired of the winter weather after the holidays, I invite you to come out to Tucson to start training for the new year. We have our ever-popular schedule of March Training Camps and we'll also be offering 'mini' training camps for smaller groups and individuals who wish to escape the harsh, cold weather and establish a training base. Please stay tuned for more info. regarding these programs or check out our March Camp schedule by clicking HERE or visiting www.CoachTroy.com
I also want to congratulate everyone who competed in Ironman Louisville KY last weekend - especially our Triathlon Academy clients and those who attended our Louisville Camp in July. And along those same lines, good luck to all of you competing in Ironman Wisconsin this weekend! I won't mention any names here, but there are a few people poised to have great races and perhaps win a spot to the 'big show' in Kona. Good luck and remember - no matter what, cross that finish line knowing you gave it 100% out there on the course and have no regrets. That is the "perfect race".
As the Fall/Winter season rolls around, we're busy putting the finishing touches on a few new workout videos to be released soon. I think you'll 'enjoy' them (if suffering is your thing!) and they'll add another level of intensity to your winter training program. Remember that training for performance is a year-round endeavor and it doesn't stop with your last race of the season. You CAN and you SHOULD get stronger and improve your skills in the off-season. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how to do that.
Finally, I'm really excited to announce that we'll be offering all of our training video content online this winter for rental and purchase. Of course, you can always own a disk - but now you can also access our large video library of over 60 titles via the internet. Stay tuned for more information as we intend to launch this new program sometime in October.
Thanks again for receiving our email updates and best wishes to you as you work towards your athletic and personal goals.
Sincerely, Coach Troy
