Time to update your contacts
As communicated a few months ago, NHA was acquired by Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI), the nation's leading provider of online testing, remediation and certification in the healthcare and professional licensing industries.

But "acquired" doesn't really convey the spirit of the transaction. We're really excited about the partnership's many benefits, which are all designed to emphasize our No. 1 goal: your students' success.

One of those great new benefits is that you now have a dedicated team here at NHA, which consists of a Client Account Manager as well as a Healthcare Education Consultant. Please don't hesitate to contact either of us if you have questions or feedback. We're here to help!

Your Client Account Manager is
your primary "in office" contact
for just about everything - placing orders, scheduling exams, invoicing, sending out exams and more. If they can't answer your question, they'll find someone who can!

Your Healthcare Education Consultant is here for you if you're interested in learning about additional NHA or ATI Allied Health products, adding certifications, etc.

If your students have specific questions, please encourage them to contact our Customer Service team at (800) 499-9092.

If you don't know who your Client Account Manager or Healthcare Education Consultant is, give us a call at (800) 499-9092 and we'll get you in touch with them!

Please check out the rest of the NHA News for additional information as well as some exciting opportunities.

Sincerely,

Your NHA Team

Test security enhanced, registration process streamlined

Test security

Historically, NHA has sent out extra paper/pencil test booklets to schools. To help ensure test security, we will only send the number of test booklets equal to the students registered. This helps keep the tests secure and eliminates the need for you to send back unused booklets.

Registration process streamlined

We are streamlining the registration process so that we can score and return your certifications to you more quickly! Students should visit www.nhanow.com to register themselves. The new registration process not only will speed up the process, but will ensure that all your testers are verified and that their information is 100% accurate. Note: Please continue to submit your group enrollment form until notified otherwise.

Advantages and opportunities

Free Item Writing Workshop

You're invited to take part in a free Item Writing Workshop for allied health educators July 26 and July 27 in Kansas City.
  • ATI psychometric education staff will provide extensive training in multiple-choice item writing and test construction.
  • Participants will be trained in writing technically sound, multiple-choice items. We believe this will be a valuable experience that you and your fellow faculty members can apply directly in your program.
  • You can expect two full days of hard work. Not many forms of creative writing are as heavily scrutinized or as difficult as multiple-choice item writing. ATI psychometricians will coach you through the entire process, and the items you write at the workshop will be used on future forms of ATI Allied Health assessments. Although the workshop will be challenging, you can expect to have a lot of fun with the ATI staff and your fellow allied health educators.
  • We anticipate that interest in this workshop will be very high, and seats are limited. Participants will be selected by lottery and notified by June 3. Flight, hotel, meals, parking and mileage will be covered by ATI. As a small token of our appreciation for those selected to participate, we also will offer a $150 honorarium. Register now!

Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test V norming

ATI is gearing up to release the Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test V (HOBET V). The HOBET V assesses objectives that allied health educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry-level skills and abilities of program applicants.

Because the HOBET V assessment is new, we are looking for schools to participate in a test norming activity, which is available through June 30.

Why should you participate?
  • An excellent opportunity for you to be one of the first to see the HOBET V.
  • A great practice experience for your applicants or students .
  • Assessment is available to you free of charge (online format).
Want more information?
  • Contact Sameano Porchea for details on the assessment development process
  • Download a detailed test plan for the HOBET V by clicking here.
Interested in participating?
  • Click here for more info and to register.
  • Once the registration form is complete, an ATI representative will call to confirm and finalize arrangements for testing.
Sales tax reminder

NHA is now required by law to collect sales tax on the sale of taxable products in your state. If you have a valid sales tax-exemption certificate, please forward it to your Client Account Manager so that we can exempt any future purchases. If you do not have a tax-exemption certificate, we will begin charging the applicable tax rate on all taxable purchases immediately.

Thanks for your patience

We all know that change isn't easy. That's why we want to extend a special "thank you" to all of our clients as we continue joining forces with ATI.

Although many of the changes related to the partnership with ATI should be transparent to you, (the move of NHA's headquarters to ATI in suburban Kansas City, for example), we do ask for your patience as we work through some "bugs" that naturally come with a transition as large as this one.

We're working hard to improve everything - getting certifications to you more quickly, offering greater technology and new products, and providing the excellent service you deserve. We won't stop until we deliver.
