Dear (Contact First Name),
I am forwarding below, an email from a concerned reader today with my apology and clarification. We were disappointed by the person that sent us two stories we have had to correct. In the past they have been a reliable source and we did not suspect error in the communication. We apologize for mistakes in the David Letterman story and the Bill Brown story. It seems during this unusual election with its rapid shifts, that no major news media group has reported every fact correctly this past week. And they aren't apologizing. But we are. And those people criticizing our newsletter who have pointed to snopes as the measuring stick of integrity and absolutes, must realize it isn't perfect either, as we have compared their reports on several issues this month to first hand sources and 'facts' that continue to differ with them. These are difficult challenging times, when people who care about America are trying hard to encourage a godly course and sincere prayer efforts. That is our aim. I have personally checked out the Phil Berg story repeatedly and am watching it closely as are other ministries of prayer and politicians and legal experts. Regardless of the mistakes in the other two articles in our last newsletter, I believe that we need to pray over the Constitutional risks associated with Mr. Berg's accusations towards a presidential candidate. If true, this needs immediate publicity and exposure. If false, it needs to be settled quickly.
Civil unrest lurking to explode would be disastrous in our nation post 9/11 era. After nearly five thousand lives have been lost in Iraq fighting in the aftermath of ousting one Hussein, millions of Americans are having deep difficulty comprehending the possibility of another Hussein in the Whitehouse with muslim ties that overlap many areas of the candidate's public and personal life in America, Kenya, Indonesia and elsewhere. That, plus the campaign promises to meet with Hamas, Iran's Jihadist President and other suspected terrorist leaders with a broad invitation not previously extended by former Presidents is alarming. Distancing himself from the endorsements of Hamas, Ferikan and other violent groups does not squelch the motives of those groups who obviously feel they will be favored. Why?
From my direct perspective of attending an Ulpan in Israel, with firsthand observation of nearby muslim neighbors, I can tell you this: Anyone may convert from being a registered Muslim to Christianity and claim to have done so, but the process usually is very costly to personal safety, entails threats quite often from Muslim relatives and is usually suspect in motivation until proven to be a solid conversion.
Couple that with a questionable birth location outside the United States, inside Kenya, a muslim nation, with an adoption by a Muslim step father in another Muslim nation, Indonesia and that spells an uneasy tension. Then topple that fragile stack with a bid for the US Presidency and a media frenzy started by a talk show host, suddenly promoting someone like a rock star. No wonder cries for "PRAY!" are sounding.
Is that love? It depends how you evaluate Jesus reacting to the chaos in the temple with his whip? Because He did love the Jewish nation, he dared to challenge and correct. Those who love America and the God that inspired our freedoms may raise the cry.
The Obsession Video project, clearly shows that Islamic forces of Jihad are savy as to media, finances and state of the arts stratedgies for pushing their agendas to bring America down, through her own 'political correctness' and 'fairness doctrines' and 'democracy' minus the Christian anchor of her forefather's premis for governing. Even Harvard has been an arrow in their quiver and in this case is not the best notch on a Presidential Candidate's resume necessarily.Bin Laden and Hussein fortunes are both linked to scholarships there; to train Islamic youth in the intricacies of how to convert western democracies to Shira law, See BBC report.
Our forefather Thomas Jefferson would have felt the same way and this can be verified in the warnings he wrote to our congress during his battles with Islamic forces in Tripoli. Tolerance of Islam was not blind acceptance, abandoning all caution.
A nation divided against itself can not stand as our external enemies hope for our division. Below is the email we received today from a pastor/friend of this ministry.
God Bless America and God Bless All of You,
Shelli
P.S. We should refrain from assuming any one's conversion is not real, or that semitic birth names indicate religious choice in one's adult life. But post 9/11, we should cross examine political movement in any area even slightly related to possibilities of Jihad or civil unrest.
The color of a man's skin is not the color of his heart, soul or the indicator of his intelligence or worth. Neither is it a magnet to abandon firm spiritual convictions for a racial bond in the voting booth.
And above all, we should remember that our battle is not with flesh and blood but rather principalities and powers of the air. PRAYER is the calling, not to arms or violence in civil matters.
When you don't know what to pray with your understanding, pray in the Spirit. And if you don't understand how to do that simply say,
" Holy Spirit of God, please baptize me with your Spirit and help me to yield my tongue to the language of prayer that you chose for me, to pray your will be done, not mine."
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered..

I think this email from a pastor/friend of our ministry explains the correction we need to make:
I heard from several folks about the David Letterman story. It seems that the story on the comments on America allegedly by David Letterman needs some correction. While the statement at the end was by Letterman, the main commentary was written by Craig R. Smith
At the end is the Leno quote, "With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, "Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?" Leno said this on The Tonight Show 2005 after a lawsuit was filed to remove references to God from the Pledge of Allegiance.
Don't overlook the fact, however, that the commentary by Craig Smith about the ungratefulness of Americas is of course a eye opener to read.
And we understand that the Bill Brown article assigned that credit to another Bill Brown The author erred in telling us it was associated with the Billy Grahamn Association, when in fact it was a contracted filming company, not a direct asscociate evidently. | |
