In tough times don't ya just want to go back to the basics? I do.
Years ago, I heard Brother Oral Roberts teaching a simple but profound and time proven truth: " If you have a great need, plant a great seed. You can't out give God!"
I think of him often as I look out the windows of our TULSA PRAYER HOUSE, sitting on the very grounds of a horse farm where he prayed and sought the Lord in a fast for 21 days, walking it over and over again in the early 1960's. Our house sits on a pin point center spot behind the ORU Prayer Tower, where he marked the visitation of God, when his answer finally came as to whether or not to build the university that has sent so many into missions. From there, we pray for ORU, VBI and RHEMA students. We host prayer summits and house our headquarters nationwide.
And for over 30 years, in famine and in feast times, I have lived by Oral Robert's principal and it has taken me around the globe, provided a massive platform to reach the lost and disciple the church, through our sermons, crusades, prayer summits, books, tapes, music and art, TV and now radio. Faith in God and the visitation of His Glory have made provision and kept us going towards the fulfillment of the vision of Harvest. And now we see a shift.
Currently, the Glory of God is being poured out and soon the "whole earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord." Now, that is not just sweet comfy clouds of grace wafting over us, soothing us into La La Land.
When the Glory of God is poured out, it will bring both blessing and judgement!
Once in Israel, while waiting for Bus #52 to take me from the Sumi Koti house to the bus terminal in downtown Jerusalem, I was suddenly caught in an unexpected torrential downpour! Not a cloud in the sky, the night before at the
end of Simkatorah, the rabbis had danced in the streets prophesying "Water! Water! Water!" Mime! Mime! Mime! And SUDDENLY it had indeed come. I looked down at a cardboard box in the gutter that was being dissolved into mush as people were shouting, "Ness!" "Miracle" in the streets. Both blessing and judgement had come in the same outpouring. The disappearing box was 'judged' unable to withstand the 'blessing' of the rain at the very same time that dry brittle grass turned green in minutes and was resurrected to a vibrant landscape. One element melted, while another flourished in the same visitation.
 The earth will suddenly have a knowledge of God's glory, His presence, as if a King long absent on a journey, finally shows up back at the palace.
His first act is to arrive in great fanfare, announcing the victories of His battles, his conquests and exhibit his spoils. His second act it to hold court and judge cases of transgressions that have been piling up.
Sometimes there are swift and shocking arrests as witnesses and spies tell the business of the kingdom in the court.
Blessing and Judgement both fall equally when the Glory of the King shows up, and everyone knows He's there.
"Revival! Lord send revival!" this cry has indeed been heard. And systems of men long overdue for revamping have been visited this month in the Jewish Holiday month of accountability and judgement.
The stock market crash is a long overdue judgement on a greedy system that made the rich richer; bankers/brokers: engaging people who can't repay without mortgaging again, and betting against bets with no substance. Playing the harlot to the nations instead of utilizing the domestic resources more fully, with better stewardship at home. A jubilee would fix it, if politicians had faith. But for the most part they don't. Thus a waymarker of exactly how poor in spirit we are is being made manifest to us all.
$700 billion was proposed to stabilize a system that was a proven failure, in the hands of those who had deceived, used poor judgement and cared little for people suffering in the wake of it all. But there are less than 700 billion citizens in America. What if the government had instead bailed out the 400 million citizen's loans up to a 1/4 of a million each? Could that not then have caused banks to become more solvent, and stimulate new loans for new business ventures and personal purchases?
A novel idea? Far out? Or so simple all it needs it the 'faith of a child'? Take a look:
Did you know that interest on loans was not even allowed in the Old Testament Jewish banking system? Did Lehman Brothers or Meryl Lynch forget that? Somebody did. Or somebody chose to ignore it.
Deuteronomy 23:20: "You shall not deduct interest from loans to your countrymen, whether in money or food or anything else that can be deducted as interest."
Because no interest was allowed, loans existed mainly as a short-term way to aid the poor between the periods of planting and harvesting crops. Most loans were given to poor people the lenders personally knew.
The combination of interest-free loans and loan forgiveness ended up hurting the very people it was designed to help; the law no longer fulfilled its stated purpose because the wealthy stopped lending their money out.
In doing so, they violated an explicit prohibition in the Torah:
"Beware lest you harbor the base thought,' The seventh year, the year of remission, is approaching,' so that you are mean to your needy kinsman and give him nothing" http://www.adultjewishlearning.org/Shmitah.html
"Oh God shake America to her knees, call her home to prayer!" - that was our cry at the Christian Embassy in DC on May 24th 2001. Little did we know that our upcoming Glory-Train prayer journey down the east coast with that theme would be answered by the terrible events of 9/11 only ten days after the August trip.
The trouble was; American didn't stay on her knees.
In 2004, April 12th, after delivering the footage on the Gay Marriage Battle to DayStar, the Lord visited me that night in Dallas in my sleep. I dreamed a dream as saw that our nation would go to war with Iraq and see action in Iran. I was told that the death toll would reach into the thousands. (It has now reached nearly 5,000!) But our president had just declared victory - the war was over and the troops were all due back home.
I was also told this: "Where as men, in all their sundry entertainment have been able to turn away from other men's famine, wars and destruction; now, what is coming will be in every man's face. PRAY! Pray that they can find a path to run to the face of their Creator, if they can find him."
I hung it all on that great big IF. IF the intercessors pray, the lost rich men on Wall Street, now committing suicides, as their entertainment and wealth fades, will find Him. The common man losing his home in agonizing stress, will find him. IF we don't pray for them, they most likely won't.
I was also shown attacks of fire on these five North American places: Nova Scotia, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington. Then what I saw in that dream also hit North Carolina, where our military bases are.
Then it changed course, this terrible destructive phantom force of the dream, that had originated from Iran/Iraq. It flew into the Gulf coast and became a series of bloody hurricanes until nothing was left of that region's sea coast cities and a pie-shaped depression of land mass was missing all the way up to the St. Louis Arch area. The Mississippi was much wider, like a sea rather than a river.
One last time it changed course into the most fearful state of being yet; a nuclear pink cloud over Detroit area.
This dream was a marker on a prophetic calendar to prepare in prayer to navigate through the days that lay ahead. I did not sense that much of it was going to change. But when I asked the Lord what to do, and if we could change it, He said,
"The prayer shield that was once over this nation has fallen from whence it was. It must be resurrected, and not only to its former state, which was is not sufficient for your day. But it must become stouter still to thwart what is coming."
He encouraged me that on 9/11 over 57,000 could have lost their lives, had all been present in those twin towers, but instead His mercy had preserved them and only 3,001 had perished. A great tragedy, but minimized, compared to that. Something thwarted the intended damage and I believe it was prayer. I remember a sister in MN, a pastor's wife of a mega church in Minneapolis, that had prayed about the "twins" & "towers" in her tongues of prayer for many years before that.
Whenever great fortunes are lost, great fortunes are gained. Those who have had their faith in riches missed opportunities to pay off their neighbor's and families debts, to invest in eternal kingdom activities through their churches and synagogues, to give alms to the poor. And now the seed they could have sown has disappeared over night like the foolish rich man's barns of wheat, just when he thought he'd build them bigger, but perished the same night! They will never be able to go back and regain their lost harvest and eternal treasure, the only thing that follows a man to the judgment seat of heaven. The time and opportunity has past. And what is most unfortunate, is that so few are lamenting that, but rather only the investments lost in earthly systems.
Who is the rich man? If a bag of gold will buy a loaf of bread? The man who raised the wheat, milled it, and baked the bread. The humble man who labored honestly while the gold lost it's luster and it's value.
The root of all evil is the lack of or the want of or the greed of money. Not the money. That is just a symbol of a substance to be traded. Rich people can sometimes be more poverty minded than those with less cash to show, who have found peace with their maker and their neighbor, giving to live and living to give!
 " It is difficult for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle": The 'eye of a needle" is a narrow stone gate in a city wall, a place of judgement in the middle east, a gate of inspection, where the guardsmen of the city examine all the contents of king or a merchant who petition to enter therein. The guardsmen observe the rich one, to see that he has no hidden weapons of destruction, no faulty goods to sell with deception.
While I was at the United Nations last month to sing the National Anthem at a prayer convocation on 9/11, I was eating breakfast when this came to my heart:
" It doesn't matter who gets elected, a republican or a democrat. Neither will ever fix the economic situation in America until Americans tithe. Less than 20% of the population do that. I rebuke the devourer for the tither's sake. That is the promise and it will not change, labor and fret though they might, to rack their brains. I am waiting for them to bow their knees and rack their hearts."
In our situation, here at Harvest Projects International, we are still standing. But some of our partners and those listening to us in Boston on the radio have seemed to cinch their belts tighter than ever. God is still on the throne! But down here, on earth, some have felt the pinch. Yet, awesome signs of breakthrough have occurred, challenging our faith to remain firm.
 MUSICAL THEATER PROJECT: We got a call from The GREAT PASSION PLAY of Eureka Springs Arkansas, the city where Smith Wigglesworth once preached mighty revivals. The play, a large Ozark entertainment and ministry outreach, has now gone into its 40th season as the longest running, largest outdoor theater in the USA. They want us to produce our TRAVAIL OF THE FLAG 2 hour musical drama there on American History. It will inspire people and minister to our vets and their families.
We must only raise $20,000 to begin in partnership for lights, sound and staging by Nov 5th of this year to be included in the advertising. A greater budget follows for the animated backdrops, props, and costumes but this was great news! Can you plant a seed for this dynamic outreach when our country needs it most?
