Prayer Points

While we pray for our Government we recognize that the solutions for our current crisis can only come from the Lord.

1. We thank the Lord for an improved atmosphere in the House of Commons.  Let's keep praying that the parties and their leaders would work together at this critical hour.

2. Pray for Prime Minister Stephen Harper as he and his team deal with the growing unemployment challenges that our nation is now facing.
Let's remember the 129,000 fellow Canadians who lost their jobs in January.

3. Keep Keith Martin, a Liberal MP, in prayer, that he would continue to forge ahead with Parliamentary action concerning the protection of our freedom of speech and issues surrounding the Canadian Human Rights Commission. More information can be found here

4. Conservative MP Joy Smith has introduced a Private Members' Bill to crack down on child trafficking. The bill will amend the criminal code to include a minimum prison term of five years for cases where the trafficked victims were under the age of eighteen.  MP Smith will be able to bring her Bill C-268 forward early in this session for second reading and debate.  Pray for favor on this bill.

5. Whatever your opinion on the war in Afghanistan, we all need to uphold our military in prayer.  Please pray for our troops and their families with us on Feb. 7th.

If you read our daily blog we give you lots of extra stuff to pray for on a regular basis.

We Blog

We keep a daily blog going to highlight current issues that need prayer or items that may fuel your own intercessory life.

In the last couple of weeks we blogged about the Budget process in Parliament, new Senator Mike Duffy, our experience at Missionsfest in Vancouver and the topic of Unanswered Prayer.

Dozens of people have "bookmarked" our blog and read it every day.

Greetings,

Welcome to all our new subcribers.  We met many of you for the first time either at our recent Schools of Intercession in Saskatoon and Vancouver, or at Missionsfest.

We are grateful that the Lord has sent us 3 Prayer Missionaries during this critical season in our nation's life. Pictured below are our current Prayer Missionaries, from left to right, Joan Jones, Nicole Cooney, and Kim Marshall.

Give us a call if you sense the Lord is asking you to set aside a season of your life to pray for our nation.

Also we have welcomed back 6 of our previous Nazarites who are here this weekend.  Some of them are here for a week, others will stay on for a month, and still others are here for a longer term of prayer ministry.

Hopefully you are able to pray this Saturday in your community as we observe a Prayer Vigil for the Military. (see the article below)  If you are organizing something we would love to hear a report of how it went.

 Missionsfest Vancouver

Five members of our team got to escape the rigours of the Ottawa winter for the balmy temperatures and rain of Vancouver last weekend. We simultaneously ran a National School of Intercession with Cityscape Prayer Ministries and manned a booth down at Canada Place.  It was great to reconnect with our west coast friends and meet so many new ones.
