Looking for a Prayer Team ...

We expect that Parliament will begin sitting on Nov. 17th.  Right now we do not have a prayer team scheduled for that week.  It's last minute ... but maybe your team could arrange to be the first prayer team for Canada's 40th Parliament.
Give us a call right away if you can come!

Prayer Points

Thank you for praying for Canada's 40th Parliamentary election. Now the real work begins!

1. The Prime Minister is apparently taking more time to check out the backgrounds of all his potential new cabinet ministers.  Pray for wisdom to choose the right person for each portfolio.

2. "Rookie" M.P.s are receiving their orientation.  We've already met one who is a believer!  Besides trying to figure out all the new systems and protocols, these new M.P.s have to find a place to stay and hire new staff.  They need lots of grace and great discernment.

3. Stephane Dion needs our prayers as he remains as leader of the Liberal party for the time being.  He has been through a storm and needs our prayers.

4. Liberal Leadership Race.  We need a healthy opposition in our Parliamentary system. Let's pray for the right leader to emerge over the next few months.

5. Our  leaders in all parties need wisdom and skill to deal with the Global economic crisis.  Let's pray that we will learn much about good stewardship as we weather this storm.

If you read our daily blog we give you lots of extra stuff to pray for on a regular basis.

Greetings,

It was great to meet so many  local friends who dropped in last week to celebrate our 3rd anniversary in this beautiful building that God has provided.

This week we had the sound of many young voices around us as we hosted a children's team led by Carolin Sadler from Winnipeg.  Team members came from Manitoba, British Columbia and New Brunswick.  (see picture below)

Kings Kids

They had the honour of meeting one of their local M.P.s - Steven Fletcher.  He in turn introduced them to a new M.P. - Candace Hoeppner.  They also toured the Parliament, visited a couple of museums and prayed in the official chapel.   This team had an awesome time worshipping, listening to the Lord and interceding for some very strategic matters.  We love working with younger prayer warriors!

Our team travels ...

We've had a chance to criss-cross the country in the last few weeks.  After doing a School of Prayer in Toronto a few weeks ago, Rob Parker headed for Langley, B.C. for a prayer breakfast a week ago, and then on to Vernon in the same province.

Richard and Terry Long were out in Spruce Grove, Alberta, last weekend meeting many people from the Edmonton area, and this weekend Rob and Fran are back in Calgary at an Aglow conference.  Rob also shared at a Fellowship of Christian Assemblies conference in Cornwall earlier this week.

Next weekend our whole team, including all of our 14 Nazarites will be heading for Toronto for the Heaven's Rehearsal.

Please continue covering us in prayer for health and safety in all our travels.
