Prayer Points

We are at the closing weekend of the 38 day election race. Below are some key issues we have found ourselves praying about throughout this campaign.

1. Voter Turnout.  The only poll that counts is on Oct. 14th. In the many close races it will come down to who can get out the vote.  Pray that Canadians would take this seriously.

2. Youth Participation.  Once again there is concern about the disinterest that younger votes have about the candidates and the issues.  Let's pray that young Canadians would "own" their democracy.

3. Truth.  We are praying that all the parties will be revealed for what they really believe.  Especially we are praying that the media would be more careful in the way they spin their stories.

4. Leaders.  They have run a hard race and are fatigued.  Pray for rest and restoration.

5. Pray for "good" men and women to emerge out of the election on Oct. 14.  God can change hearts even once people take up their role in Ottawa.

6.  Whoever wins this election will have the enormously important job of selecting the cabinet ministers who will lead the various ministries of the government.  Let's not stop praying once the election is over!

Our Nazarites have been researching and praying about all 308 ridings during this election.  If you have any insights into local issues or particular candidates that would help us to pray more effectively please drop us a note at info@nhop.ca.

We have been pressing in with prayer for more than 30 days, but we are planning on ramping things up even further.  This Monday night we will join with others across the country from 11 P.M. to 1 A.M.

Then on Tuesday Oct. 14th we will be open from 10 A.M. till 10 P.M. cycling through 2 hour prayer watches.  We welcome you to join us in person or in spirit.  Or both!

Greetings,

We have  so much to thank God for!  This coming Wednesday, Oct. 15th, we celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of our Ministry Centre.  You are all invited to give thanks to the Lord with us.

If you live in the National Capital Region we are doing an Open House from 2 - 8 P.M. and we invite you to drop in, have some cake and tour the building with all it's recent renovations. We will also be praying for the newly elected government.  The poster is on our website.

We had a full house this week.  On top of our 14 Nazarites we had two teams from Langley, B.C.  Pictured below are the teams from Southgate Church and North Langley Community Church.  Shannon Youell also joined us from Victoria, B.C.

What God has done in 3 years!

Praise God for the 1200 people who have joined us on Prayer Teams since we have had this former convent.  We calculate that we have had the opportunity to meet and pray with about 150 M.P.s with those teams from about the same number of ridings.

The Lord has also opened up doors to pray with Senators and Ambassadors and many key Civil servants.  For each connection we thank God!

As our team has traveled and shared all across Canada we have been so encouraged by the other intercessors we have met who are committed to praying for the government.

We celebrate with you God's goodness!
