2. Pray for the plans as they are implemented for "TheCRY" that will happen on Aug. 23rd.  Let's intercede that thousands of believers will attend this wonderful event.

3. Please continue to pray MP Ken Epp as he works to see the adoption of his private member's bill C-484 which seeks to protect the victim rights of unborn children.

Aboriginal Summit

Greetings,

It has been an incredible week here in Ottawa with the official apology to the former students of the Residential Schools.  Our NHOP team gathered with hundreds of others on the front lawn of Parliament Hill to watch, listen and be deeply moved.  We have been covering this fully in our daily NHOP Blog, where we have the full text, pictures and other insights into this historic event.

FN Apology

You can still sign the unofficial apology that we have created online that indicates to the First Peoples and our Government that the Christian Church is standing with them.

Prayer Team has Great Favour

Essex Team
(As always we pray a final blessing over each visiting team)

This week's visiting prayer team from Antioch Ministries in Essex, Ont. experienced great blessing during their stay at NHOP.  They were a group of interns who made Ottawa their mission trip.  Not only were they here to witness the official apology by PM Stephen Harper to the First Peoples, but they also had two wonderful opportunities to meet with their MP Jeff Watson.  He hosted them for dinner on one night and then spent a couple of hours over lunch with them as well.
This gave them a great chance to understand how politics really works and also to pray with him and his staff.

They were an inspiration to us as we look forward to the Nazarite Program here at NHOP this Fall.  We already have 4 people accepted to the program and a number of others who are at various stages of applying.  Some of them are seeking to raise support and would welcome any interested donors.
