prayer and bible  Prayer Points

1. Pray for a full and effective apology to be framed for the former students of the Native Residential Schools.  We expect this to happen in the next 6 weeks, but it needs prayer to make this a truly spiritual healing for our nation.

2.  Please pray for the selection of a new Supreme Court Judge later this year, now that one of them has announced an early retirement in June.

3. Pray that all of God's purposes will come to "full term" for this 39th Parliament.  Another week brings more rumours of an early election this summer. There are important bills that still need to be finished this Spring.

4.  Thank you for your prayers for our team as they travel and stir up prayer all across this nation.

Are you interested in attending the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast May 15th?

We have learned that there is still some room for others to attend now that the event has been moved to the Ottawa Congress Centre.

Contact M.P. David Anderson's office at 613-992-0657 for details.

Greetings,

Our team continue to travel around the country.  Richard Long facilitated the Halifax Leaders' Prayer Summit last week. See the picture below of the 36 leaders who gathered near Peggy's Cove, N.S.

You can read full reports of our travels on our daily NHOP BLOG.

Rob and Richard also had a great weekend on PEI both in Summerside and Charlottetown.  We are expecting a team from the island in the last week of May.  If you are from PEI and interested in joining them, please give us a call.

In the last couple of weeks we hosted a team from North Langley Community Church, Langley, B.C. and another group this week from Southside Community Church in Milton, Ont.   The picture below is the Milton team with their M.P. standing together in the Rotunda on Parliament Hill.

All the details are now on our new website for our next training sessions at Green Hill Lake Camp near Fredericton.  Once again our team will be working with Sara Maynard and her Cityscape team from Vancouver.

We are excited about doing this event in a retreat atmosphere where we can spend extra time together around meals and in a natural setting.

Check out the full details here on our website and download the poster, information sheet and application form.

For intercessors in the Ottawa region, we want to extend a special invitation to join a day of training with Roger & Sue Mitchell on Sat. May 17th.

The Mitchells are known internationally as strategic mobilizers of intercession. Having led several prayer movements in the U.K. they also now oversee Nightwatch Europe which coordinates prayer for the 48 nations of that region.  Over the years they have worked with leadership teams in cities such as Mississauga, Toronto and Hamilton, as well as with prayer movements like Watchmen for the Nations.

Due to the large response we have now changed our location for this event.  See our website for details.

the RyansWe thank God for our new cooks, Bob and Janette Ryan from Newfoundland who offered themselves for the next 3 months.  (We will be looking for another couple for the Fall.)
The Ryans are seeking to raise their full financial support.  Please contact us if you would like to donate to their funds.

This week Rob and Richard are in Rouyn-Noranda, Q.C. and then head to Elliot Lake in northern Ontario for April 24-27 to do an NHOP School of Prayer in that region.  Contact us for details if you want to attend the meetings in those areas.

Thanks for standing with us as we represent you in our Nation's Capital.
