Prayer Points
1. Pray for the progress of Bill C-484, the Unborn Victims of Crime Act. This legislation would be an important step toward recognizing the rights of unborn children. Please pray that Christians across this country would become aware of this bill and get involved in encouraging their M.P.s to support it.
2. Please pray for this current session of Parliament. Even many of the M.P.s are complaining about the toxic environment in the debates. Pray for the Speaker of the House, the Honourable Peter Milliken, that he will be able to curb the worst behaviour.
3. Pray for the relationship between the Senate and the House of Commons. There is ongoing tension because of the delaying of bills that have been sent to the Upper Chamber. Pray that the dysfunctions in both Houses will be corrected.
4. Continue to pray for young adults in our nation who are considering "a Nazarite call" on their lives. Pray that all those who should be joining us at NHOP this March will have their financial needs met and more. |
New NHOP BLOG
We had over 500 views of our new Blog in the last week. Thanks for checking us out!
Remember, we update it daily. We encourage you to bookmark it, revisit it regularly, and give us your comments.

What's a "Blog?"
For those of you who have never checked out the world of blogging, we encourage you to go to our NHOP BLOG site.
A Blog is short for a "web log." Simply put, it's an online journal with daily entries about what is happening through our ministry. Contributors are people on our leadership team, interns and Prayer Missionaries.
We will keep it short and visual. This will be the place to see recent pictures and hear how we are connecting with key players in the various levels of government.
Blogs also give you an opportunity to add your comments.

Greetings,
This week we've been working together with Cityscape Prayer Ministries to lead a National School of Intercession in Quebec City. This is our first bi-lingual training week, but we hope to run many more.
Starting this week our team is going to take a further step by participating in a 12 week evening French class. Michèle Cloutier, our administrator, is fluent already, and handles all our regular Francophone inquiries, but the rest of our team realized we needed to start working on this.
If you want to keep up-to-date with our progress it will be one of the many topics on our daily BLOG.
Check our NHOP BLOG everyday for new entries. |

We are still booking teams for the next few months. Call us about a week that you might be interested in.
There are two unique windows in our schedule that we want to draw to your attention.
We have a March Break week open (due to a cancellation.) It would be especially great if we had a youth team come between March 17-21.
Also we have scheduled a different "Special Opportunity" week from mid April, which is now booked, to the week of March 10-14. This session is designed for individuals or couples who are not able to join their local team, but want to come and join a "make-up" team from all across the country. Please call us right away about this special opportunity in mid March!

NHOP for Newcomers

This happy group of people are from the Ottawa region. They responded to the radio promo on our local Christian station - CHRI (www.chri.ca) which invited anyone who had never been to NHOP to come for a daytime experience.
We spent some time familiarizing them with our ministry, sharing the current issues before Parliament, and then praying. After a hearty lunch they came with us to Question Period.
Thanks to Dianne Van der Putten from CHRI (she's in the lower right hand corner) for making all this happen. We are planning on doing it again! |
God has been speaking to many young people about 2008, asking them to set aside this season of their lives for Him. Has God been speaking to you? This may resound in your spirit and you have been waiting on the Lord to show you how to answer this call. Perhaps you are supposed to respond as one of the company of Nazarites gathering at the National House of Prayer in Ottawa, consecrating and dedicating themselves to pray.
Contact us immediately for more information at 613-789-4907 or Email richard@nhop.ca for more details and an application form.
(God may be prompting you about a young adult that should consider this call. Please follow through and bring this challenge to their prayerful attention.)

There are many open doors to minister to government leaders in Ottawa in this season. Last week we cooperated with the Christian Embassy to host a luncheon for a number of ambassadors from African nations. It was a wonderful chance to encourage and pray for these key leaders.
Thanks for standing with us as we represent you in our Nation's Capital.
