I must begin by mentioning how dependant we were on our remarkable hosts in Ukraine. Without them we couldn't even have read the street signs. Faithful and reliable servants, they helped us travel from meeting to meeting, translated nearly every conversation and made sure we paid the right amount when we ate out!
While in Kiev I had a dream that I was to buy a set of blue dishes. They were bright blue with a sunflower in the middle; I wanted every piece in the set. As I pondered the meaning of this dream, I realized that the colors were the same as the Ukrainian flag and I was told that the national flower is the sunflower! This seemed to Rob and I that we were in the right place and that we're to continue to serve the nation as God directs.

The desire to establish an NHOP in Ukraine was already apparent, but now we see a team assembling who are willing to pray and work towards this goal.
We shared the vision for an NHOP eight times and found people to be very receptive and willing to participate. As we shared the story of what God is doing in Canada, it brought hope and encouragement that their government could be influenced by prayer.
A few highlights for us included speaking on the country's first Christian radio station. This was a live phone-in program. Many of the people who called clearly were excited about this vision for their nation.
While we attended a Messianic Christian retreat Rob extended a call to the young Nazarites of Ukraine. We were amazed at the wave of young men and women who responded. God has already been creating a deep hunger and a readiness of this generation who are sold out to God for their nation.
The opportunity to visit the Ukraine government was made possible by the efforts of Alexander who works for an MP. He arranged a tour of the building, and we met a member who happens to be a famous singer too! (See the photo above.) We sat in the "House" and prayed during the session; we felt right at home.
Afterward our group gathered to pray for the leaders and for the establishing of consistent prayer for the political leadership. It was exciting to participate with Alexander as he carries the vision for prayer in the government house and sees this can be a reality; and very soon!

The Nazarite Call
God has been speaking to many young people about 2008, asking them to set aside this season of their lives for Him. Has God been speaking to you? This may resound in your spirit and you have been waiting on the Lord to show you how to answer this call. Perhaps you are supposed to respond as one of the company of Nazarites gathering at the National House of Prayer in Ottawa, consecrating and dedicating themselves to pray.

We are partnering with "Cityscape Prayer Ministries" this next week in Quebec City to do our first bilingual National School of Intercession.
