Prayer Points

1. The Throne Speech will survive and everyone is breathing a sigh of relief that the current government will last a little longer.

Please pray for cooperation among the different political parties as they move forward and try to get some bills passed this Fall.

2. The legislation around the legal age of consent has reappeared in an omnibus anti-Crime bill (C-2) which was the first business introduced after the Throne Speech.  Let's pray that this time it will become law.

3. Thank you for praying for NHOP.  As we head into a 12 hour prayer vigil tonight (Friday) one of the things we are asking the Lord for is a breakthrough in financial provision.  We covet your prayers!

New Generation Team

We learned from Elaine Bailey this week that one of the girls - Kabrie Haaf was able to meet with their own Alberta Premier - Ed Stelmach.  The New Generation team was also featured on the front page of Calgary's "City Lights News".
The Lord continues to use their experience to inspire others.  There are now 65 similar prayer groups on high schools across the nation.

Greetings,

The M.P.'s are back!  For us at NHOP it's been good to get back into our groove of praying in the gallery during Question Period and seeing many of our good friends back in Ottawa.
It also means that our interns have been able to start working as volunteers in M.P.'s offices and begin to become familiar with the normal busyness of Parliament Hill.

School of Prayer in Morden, Man.

Rob, Fran and Richard had an amazing time leading the National School of Prayer in Morden, Manitoba last weekend. Pastor Weldon Yeo and his congregation opened their doors and their hearts to us and many others who came from across the province to learn more about intercession.

We met people from Winnipeg, Brandon, Carman, Winkler, Steinbach, Neepawa, and even from Thompson eight hours to the north.

Pictured here are "the ladies in black" from Thompson with Rob and Fran and Glenda Schwarz who along with her husband Ron organized the School and hosted us in their home.

Sunday evening we had a wonderful time connecting with over 40 city intercessors in the heart of Canada - Winnipeg.  We were excited to hear about all the prayer initiatives that the Lord has been birthing in that great city.  Thanks to Randy Wengel from Zion church who hosted that meeting, and our good friends Terry & Ruth Wall who looked after us so well.

Calgary NSoI

We have made another major change to the program at the NSoI in Calgary.  Due to the feedback we received from local leaders we have decided to make it a weekend school.  It will now begin at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday Nov. 8 and run all day Fri. Nov. 9 and Sat. Nov. 10.  The cost has been revised to reflect the change and is now only $75.00.  The Saturday-only rate is $50.00.
All the information will be in Calgary's "City Lights News".

Our team is available to minister in your city.  Give us a call about how we could share in your congregation or prayer group.

Thanks for standing with us in prayer.
Representing you in the nation's capital,
