(A worship celebration in the Ukraine)
According to many, this was the first time intercessors from across Ukraine had been gathered in one place. The air was definitely electric with anticipation of the timing of the Lord for such an event. Denominationalism has had such a strong hold in people's lives that when we preached on intercessors coming together from all parts of the Body of Christ it was always met with huge cheers from the 300 strong voices. Everyone was soaking up the teaching on intercession, hungry for more and more, making it very difficult to ever stop for a breather!
We often heard people say: "This has never happened before in Ukraine!"
With no experience in running a conference in Eastern Europe, we did not anticipate that only 70 of the 300 or so that registered were able to pay, (this amount was only to cover the costs of their meals, $25). So we had to cover the costs of the other 230 people which included for many their beds, disposable dishes, soap, water, etc. Live and learn! So thank-you to everyone who together sowed approximately $5500 Cdn. enabling so many people to attend who otherwise would not have been able to do so. Towards the end of the conference I taught on the authority which comes through ownership and asked the people to consider sowing financially into a National House of Prayer being established in Kiev. Everyone came forward and gave what they could to "own" this vision and immediately afterwards a double rainbow appeared right over the church signifying God's blessing.
Even with the expenses of putting this on, Mike and Sharon Molnar and I are so thankful for the huge privilege of sowing into the prayer movement of another nation!
After the conference, we drove all night to Kiev where we spoke before about 35 Bishops regarding the future vision of a National House of Prayer being established there. We were not prepared for the unanimous decision to walk together to see this become a reality! Undoubtedly, God is targeting prayer for the governments of our world and raising up those who will be used to establish ongoing and informed intercession at the gates of nations. I can see a web of governmental prayer networks being established worldwide!
Romania was also amazing and we were able to connect with an intercessor named Erika Klemm who is in the process of setting up a House of Prayer in the city of Sibiu. Again, we were so welcomed and blessed to bring to them some of what God has allowed us to walk through in establishing the National House of Prayer in Canada.
Prayer Tower in Sibiu, Romania
We made many contacts in Romania and Ukraine leaving me with a sneaking suspicion that God is about to open many doors to us. Please pray! Timing! Timing!
