Prayer Points

prayer partners
1. Pray for the tense relationship between our current government and the First Peoples.  Indian Affairs Minister, Jim Prentice announced new powers for the Lands Claims commissioners this week.  Pray that there would be wisdom in implementing this process.  Also pray about the plans for a national Day of Protest on June 29th.

2. The work of Parliament has really been grinding to a halt.  Long time observers note that the toxic relationship between various political parties is the worst they have ever seen.  Let's pray for a breakthrough!

3. Next week your M.P. will be back in your local riding.  This is a good week to drop them a short line of thanks or encouragement.  Pray that it will be a week of divine connections for them.

Greetings!

It's always interesting when we have two teams arrive from different parts of the nation. Last week we hosted folks from Winkler, Manitoba, and from the Durham/ Flesherton area of Ontario.

Within no time they had been melded together by the Holy Spirit into a powerful team of intercessors. We love to watch the unity of the Spirit at work among believers from different backgrounds.

The Canadian Prophetic Roundtable welcomed about 40 leaders to our facility in the last few days. They had a great time of seeking the Lord and listening to what the Spirit is saying to the Church in Canada.

Our first interns, Erica Schmidt, Jill Lipke, and Amanda Van Hierden pose with Internship Directors Richard and Terry Long after completing their 3 months of intensive learning at NHOP.

During their internship, they served in the offices of their M.P.s, attended Question Period twice a week, participated in the regular Friday afternoon East Block Chapel prayer meetings and met dozens of parliamentarians, ambassadors, and other key people who work in government.

Interns also take 12 hours of class time each week, studying topics like "Principles of Intercession," "Introduction to Theology," "Biblical Interpretation," "Canadian Civics," "Ethics," and "Spiritual Direction."

We are already accepting applications for our Fall 2007 session.  All the information can be found on our website or call Richard Long at 613-789-4907 for more information.
