Dear friend, The next session of Parliament began earlier this week. For us that means beginning to welcome regular weekly teams who help us to cover the work of the M.P.'s in prayer. We've used the last part of January to be out on the road sharing the vision of NHOP. This week's newsletter features a report on our B.C. trip. Many new subscribers signed up for this weekly newsletter in the various meetings and at our booth at Missionsfest Vancouver. Welcome to all of you who are getting your first edition today!
![]() Intercessors can be found in every corner of our nation. After a delightful ferrry ride, Pastor Chris Cormack of Community Gospel Chapel welcomed us to his congregation on Salt Spring Island on Jan. 21st. We found a group of believers who had a national vision and a track record of international outreach. Later that evening Rob had the opportunity to share at a city-wide service in Victoria. The meeting was held in the Royal Conservatory of Music, a building which when it had been a church, had been the centre of the great revival under Charles Price's ministry in 1922. It was a time to pray for a redigging of that ancient well, as we joined our hearts to ask the Lord to for another revival in B.C.'s capital region. Both in Salt Spring Island and in Victoria, we had reunions with folks who have been on teams to NHOP in the last year. Many of them plan to return in 2007. ![]()
![]() We are very grateful for our relationship with Sara Maynard who leads the Cityscape Prayer team out of Vancouver. She arranged many significant meetings for Rob and Richard in the final week of January. In the photo to the right you will see Pastor Gideon Chiu leading a commissioning prayer for the team that is preparing to be with us at NHOP this coming week. It was a unique experience for us to be with a team as they made their preparations to come to Ottawa. Rob and Richard had many chances to share the vision of the National House of Prayer and to challenge leaders, congregations, and prayer groups to consider coming to pray onsite in Parliament. We hope to see several more teams coming from Vancouver in 2007, including a group from the Chinese Renewal Fellowship. ![]()
![]() What an amazing experience it is to see thousands of Christians from all over B.C. coming together around the Great Commission! It was a huge blessing to our team, Rob, Richard, and Michèle Cloutier, as we met so many new friends and contacts. Many of the people who stopped at our booth had never heard of us before. "What a great idea!", "How did you get such a huge house?", were some of the regular comments spoken to us. We were kept very busy describing the goodness of the Lord in providing such a great facility to host Canada's intercessors. ![]()
1. With the new session of Parliament, there is a need to pray again for decorum in the House. Our ongoing prayer is that M.P.'s would honour and show respect to each other regardless of party lines. (If you ever watch CPAC you will not need this reminder!) 2. We also have been praying about a necessary sifting in the top positions of the civil service. The last weeks have seen some major changes among some of the deputy ministers (highest level of civil service). Let's pray that the right ones would come into their place. 3. Pray for the special Canada-Israel Together Tour that takes place next Monday through Friday in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria. (See the next article for details.) Let's ask the Lord to crown this friendship event with His glory and grace. ![]()

We've had a group cancel their plans to be with us in
a few weeks time. We would love to welcome any
prayer teams that can come for a day or two during
the week of Feb. 12-16. Give us a call if you are
able to respond to this opportunity.
