Dear friend,
This week we were greatly honoured to have Arne
Bryant,
now 88 years of age, who
has been leading Prayer Canada for 29 years, stay
with us while he attended his first National Prayer
Breakfast. You can learn more about Prayer Canada
and the great work they have been doing at their
website www.prayercanada.org.
![]() Perhaps the best Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast ever, took place on Thursday June 1st. 500 people, including MP's, Senators and ambassadors were in attendance. Tom Caldwell gave an excellent challenge on starting and ending each day with prayer. Fran Parker was privileged to have an opportunity to particpate in a seminar and to share the story of the National House of Prayer. She reminded listeners that while not our leaders will be Christians, every Christian should be praying for their leaders. May the Lord use this testimony to strengthen prayer in our nation's capital. ![]()
![]() We will have more to report in weeks to come about Rob Parker's visit to Kiev over the last couple of weeks. He arrives back today after some intensive and productive days in the Ukraine. There were many divine appointments. As you see in the picture above, Pastor Sunday Adelaja who leads a congregation of over 10,000, was one of those who was seeking Rob's counsel as they consider how to set up a house of prayer for their government. Rob shared with several hundred pastors and cell group leaders from the Embassy of God church about NHOP, as well as the journey of repentance that the Canadian Church walked out with the survivors of the St. Louis ship. He gave a call to National Repentance, which was well received in Kiev as well as Odessa, but not without controversy, as there are some deep rooted political and relational wounds, both in and outside of the church. However, there needs to be unity in the whole body of Christ, as it cannot be a "church thing" from one denomination. This needs prayer as leaders consider how to move forward. ![]()
We are looking forward to hosting a special team of Fijians whom Roger Armbruster has arranged to minister in Manitoba, Nunavut, and Ontario. For those in the Ottawa area, we will be having a meeting at the City Church on July 22nd at 7:00 PM. More details to follow. ![]()

Ruth Cullen, a member of our NHOP board has been
leading this camp for a number of years. She writes
below about what campers can expect. The camp will include two 'hands-on' field trips where skills learned in the camp can be applied in visits to the National House of Prayer and the Parliament Buildings. If you know of a young leader who would benefit from this week-long opportunity please encourage them to check out the website below. ![]()
1. Pray for cabinet minister Jim Prentice who is responsible for Indian Affairs and Northern Development. He and others in the Conservative government need wisdom to find ways to help and heal our Aboriginal peoples. Determining how to proceed with the "Kelowna Accord" is one of the issues they are facing. 2. Pray for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada as they host a briefing for MPs on June 6 on Parliament Hill. Janet Epp Buckingham will address MPs regarding the state of religious freedom in Canada. 3. Continue to pray for Michelè and her team in China. We have received an encouraging report from their first few days, despite the loss and replacement of a passport. Let's keep praying for divine appointments. 4. Pray for our MP's as they prepare themselves to vote again on the same-sex marriage issue. It was announced today by Prime Minister Stephen Harper that there will be a free vote this Fall. ![]()
